bird
Found another strange zoanthid growth. See the 2 mouthed sigle polyp? It has skirts almost dividing, the mouths, but the skirt end before splitting the 2 mouths. I will work on getting a shot of the polyp closed. Pain getting this shot because of location in tank. Psychosis
Is Bird just a clever codename for Prof. Xavier? You collect enough mutants, it would seem. Magneto 'n junk. Link to comment
mew
+1 on the new thread! I'd be interested in seeing this in a cleaned up thread with working pics! I'm considering redoing my shallow drop-off tank too, in a longer tank. Link to comment
CrownOfficial
freaking sweet! i want one now haha Link to comment

Primeval
Maybe time to either start a new tank or quit adding corals. Deep end now shallow end What a shame. I think you have an addiction. Step 1 to the healing process is sending me some of your smaller coral. Link to comment
MikeTR
Since you have the mutant thing going on.. try cutting one of your zoas directly in half right through the mouth.. a local reefer from our marine club did it and both halves survived. I don't think I'd do it with a pricey one though until I knew it worked. Link to comment
reefer916
Looking good.... I really like the lagoon and the shallow end... Makes me want to take my tanks down and get a setup like yours Was that a custom build or do they manufacture that kind of tank? Link to comment
Paleoreef103
This tank is just pure genius. I love it. Your coral collection is amazing! Link to comment
bird
Thanks for all the nice comments folks. I may just do a new thread and start the build of it in a condensed post. I am really happy how everything is coloring up now. This acro is becoming one of my favorites. Link to comment

bird
beautiful tank! what kind of rock is that and where did you get it from if you dont mind? thanks! Fiji. I got it from a local selling out last year. Actually have about 100lbs. The extra I have kept in a holding tank with heat and flow though I have not done any water changes, just top-off. bird
Just finished moving the tank. Been fighting over electric bill again and the tank taking all the visitors attention away from her majesty so thought my den would be better since she rarely ventures into this mess. At least now I have my PC and the tank in one area. OK, now the tank is unrecognizable. Pics to come. Link to comment
bird
couple pics of the new setup. Looks like everything survived the tank move. Going to keep mainly sps. Hopefully they will do OK. Tank holds less water than I first thought, only about 12gl. I think keeping mag and calcium levels in check will be the toughest battle. Link to comment
GiantBen
Been fighting over electric bill again and the tank taking all the visitors attention away from her majesty Lol. Had to read this to my wife. Link to comment
bird
latest additions. This one today. Sweet though the pic does not show the true colors, it will be an awesome acro if I can keep the tank stable enough. and these a couple others I picked up. not sure if I can do this here but a local reef shop got some really nice maricultured sps in and frags are $20 each so if anyone wants any I would be more than happy to buy and ship them, all at your expense. I thought it a great deal myself. Don't see many nice colored acros locally here. I am sure there are many that do get a nice selection, but if you are one of the unfortunate like me, these are some sweet sps. Purple, yellow, blue, tri-color... Link to comment
