pismo_reefer Posted December 10, 2008 Author Share Posted December 10, 2008 the ballast on my 13w PC went out a couple days ago i had an old standard (t8) flurescent fixture layin around....so i took it apart, found out that the ballast is rated for "up to (1) 22watt"....so i hooked it up! the fixture: the test: the mess: oh she's a bright one! (lots-o-lumens!) the finished product.... edit: i just noticed something in pic3...oops. Link to comment

pismo_reefer Posted December 11, 2008 Author Share Posted December 11, 2008 oh...i replaced "jerry" w/ a scooter blenny" (1incher) to eat the flatworms....and o man, does she eat some flatworms! the second i put her in the water, she immediately took to snatchin FW's off the glass. it was neato! i think my scooter is a "she" cuz "she" doesnt have the male "flag-shaped" fin. (thats how you tell right?) anyhoot....i have a super bad FW problem and a ridiculous cyano outbreak to deal with. (learned my lesson about overfeeding!) Link to comment

pismo_reefer Posted December 13, 2008 Author Share Posted December 13, 2008 cuz he/she was only bought to take care of my flatworm issue..... i didnt realize until a day later that tthe pods she eats are not in sufficient numbers in a tank less than 80g...yikes. so i basically only have FW's for her to eat, and that isnt right.
