pismo_reefer Posted January 20, 2009 Author Share Posted January 20, 2009 update: the cyano has come back a little bit, but its nothing compared to the outbreak i just got rid of....its not as fast growing, or as strong, as the last batch was. im starting to think that one (or both) of my screw in bulbs may be bad... oh... some sexy news: the dominant male has now taken over the pico fully and completely. his lair is the highest point in the pico (on top of some zoo's) where he keeps watch over his reef and his womenz, and asserts his dominance by chasing the weaker male, "greed", into the overflow....its like the alpha male knows that the OF leads to the fuge. i also added 5 teeny-nassarius snails and an emerald crab (they were needed!) nass snail. the stars of the show.... hello? HELLO!? "I twyz to weach da pewit...but mah arms is too widdle." its universal...even shrimp women can give the evil eye. coralline. beautiful coralline! questions orcomments? Link to comment

(Paly whatever it is) It will turn into two then 20 then overrun the zoas. Zoas are way prettier. I am fighting them now and aptasia killer isn't even doing the job. I am literally scraping them off with a razor. Trust me do it now before it becomes an issue. Link to comment

Trust me do it now before it becomes an issue. firstly, thanks for the advice. but, i HATE those zoo's....i have about 500 polyps of em, and they never slow in growth...so, for me, its almost the total opposite situation. i want the paly's to take over, but they are being overrun by zoo's....lets trade. pismo_reefer Posted January 26, 2009 Author Share Posted January 26, 2009 its just been plagued by minor hiccups... from the cyano outbreaks to the filter problems, down to the sexy's getting sucked into the OF....and i also have a new 10g FW snail-breeding tank to care for (puffer food). so, as of tomoro, the pico will be no more. the corals will go to the LFS, and the inverts will go into the 20H's refugium. but on the bright side ill have one sexy fuge!
