pookstreet
Time to swap the skimmers....... Side by side of the H&S and WM. Because my sump water level is around 12" and the skimmer operates optimally at around 8-10" of water, I purchased some 3" couplers to raise the skimmer. Man, it was a tight squeeze to get it into the sump. Just barely made it. It would have ruin anyone's day if it was too big Phat Boy officially went alive on August 21, 2008 at 11:06 PDT. I'll get a short video of it soon. Stay tuned. Link to comment

pookstreet
That is insane, Kenny! What's the tank size capacity it's in again?? I gotta see this thing in action some day, lol! According to WM, the skimmer is rated for 400 gallons and that's exactly what I have in my system. Although I think the skimmer can handle a larger system. Geebus Kenny!!! pookstreet
They make an AS-200, which has an 8" body, about 24" tall, with a high-out put Sedra 9000. That thing is good for up to about 200-225 and kicks some serious butt. Link to comment

Needreefunds
Looks awesome Kenny. Am I seeing this correctly, are the venturi adjusting valves connected to the collection cup / cover? And if so,are you finding this a PITA to deal with? I know it may only be a once a week thing but still..... Just curious is all. Link to comment
pookstreet
ugh, I can smell it from here. Lucky you. After last week, my sense of smell is shot from this nasty stuff. Looks awesome Kenny. Am I seeing this correctly, are the venturi adjusting valves connected to the collection cup / cover? And if so,are you finding this a PITA to deal with? I know it may only be a once a week thing but still..... Just curious is all. What you see attached to the collection cup lid are the air silencers for the air intake. I can easily just pull the tubes off to empty and clean the cup. Link to comment
