chemikalzsky
I'm interested to see how that stand works out for you. It's a interesting concept. I would think the weight would be too much for the wall, but I'm no engineer. Link to comment
PicoSavvy
Rembrandt life support finally arrived lived finally (5 days late) sitting up front Is the little rc that allowed me to afford it (made a bet with my friends and i won) When you open the pro edition it is full up to the top with stuff and inside the bags there is even more stuff Nice bright display It comes with temperature sensor, optical water level sensor, dual float switch, ato pump, calibration stuff, mounting stuff, and enough tubing to last my life time Link to comment

I would think the weight would be too much for the wall, but I'm no engineer. I am no engine myself but most tv we mount to the wall probably weight more then that tank it is only 10 gallon so it weight in at around 100 pounds. It all depends on the shelf design itself if you have alot of weight touch a small area then you have a possible failure point, if you distribute your weight then there is less of the possibility of failure. Here is the link to the build thread on the tank (http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1052751). This dude, mounted a 40 gallon tank on the wall. ( )Here is a sweet 14 gallon wall mount tank with simple wall bracket. Build thread on it (http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1060365) Link to comment

Well the testing heatsink came in for the nano v3 array. It is probably at the bare edge as to how small you can go heatsink size wise on the v3 array. I took one of the cooling fan from one of my rc car to test how a fan looks up on the heatsink, I am still waiting on the one I order it will be a 50mm fan instead of a 30mm like this test fan. Here it is on the heatsink Depending on how this setup goes I may do a water cooled led setup. Link to comment

I got some pan car to but they are in there boxes, also with the m class chassis. If I go into racing again I want to try the bigger scale like 1/8 and 1/5 scale car Link to comment

PicoSavvy
I started rc with off roading when I bought my savage but once I went to see my first rc race I was hooked I try almost everything 1/10,1/16,1/24,1/36, drift, crawler, on road, off road rc bikes. But my favorite is still 1/10 on road fwd class Link to comment
PicoSavvy
This is probably the cheapest equipment I have bought for this tank but still very important since I need it to chill the coral food and some additives. I couldn't resist tinkering so I took one of the fans from my rc and build a circulation fan. The little fan seems to be doing a good job and is very silent for a 30mm fan. PicoSavvy
How to get Dos doser precision without the Dos price. Simple the answer is the stepper motor. Don't get me wrong I think the dos is cool but it is not 350 dollars cool, if was maybe 200 or 250 then sure I would get one. Now for my mini fridge I need a dosing pump to dispense coral food but I want it to be precise so here are my options. -Bartendro Dispenser (This pump is awesome it has sensor that tell it's exact position) -YW'FLUID micro stepper pump (this is a great little pump that uses stander jebao and kamoer pump heads.) -42 stepper Peristaltic Pump (this pump is cheap and easy to find.) -Aptinstruments SP100 Peristaltic Pumps (this pump is very reliable and accurate) Link to comment
chemikalzsky
OK, n00b question... How will it know what to dose and when and why dose in such a small tank? Link to comment

PicoSavvy
OK, n00b question... How will it know what to dose and when and why dose in such a small tank? Depending on which pump your talk about you measures the consumption rate of calcium and alk and anything else you want to dose. Then you program the Doser to dose that amount over the time it is depleted. I plan on dosing only if my parameters are not keeped stable with my automated water changes. Now the dose pumps I listed are for dosing food, they can be used for dosing chemicals too, but I am going to use them for dosing food. The Bartendro Dispenser is very precise because it has sensor that tracks it rotation I think it is half a ml accurate Link to comment

chemikalzsky
Thanks for explaining. Is there a probe or something that will measure what was lost? Link to comment
PicoSavvy
Thanks for explaining. Is there a probe or something that will measure what was lost?Well depending on the pump. My kore doser tracks the amount of fluid left in the container and when used for auto water change it has a Float swith and a optical sensor to track water height. With peristaltic pump you can calculate how long the dosing fluid will last by using the flow rate of the pump. Since they are design to dispense the same amount everytime by design , how much depends on the spacing of the roller. my boy shipped it to me about 40lbs or more i havnt opened the box i just didnt need it at the time How are you selling it by the pound, by the bag, or the whole lot Link to comment
