owenj
the close calls are actually the worse. you can almost taste it. but you JUST started, so the fact that your first sub returned with personal reject is pretty amazing. keep on and good luck, jaime!! Actually wasn't my first sub, already been collecting rejections . I was worried it wouldn't fit the market so I was encouraged overall, but yea, rejection still sucks. So glad Wilma showed up for you again! It's pretty crazy how many hiding spots we have in these small tanks. Link to comment
cindyp
lookin good as always Cindy! I'm amazed by your nekked duster's tenacity of life. yes. i am spending $$ buying the phyto feast for the naked little dude. still kicking and it's been five months in my tank, most of them naked. the big duster still in tube seems to be doing okay too? i dose with phyto daily and 2x a week with oyster feast. Actually wasn't my first sub, already been collecting rejections . I was worried it wouldn't fit the market so I was encouraged overall, but yea, rejection still sucks. So glad Wilma showed up for you again! It's pretty crazy how many hiding spots we have in these small tanks. awww still nothing compard to over a hundred. keep going!! and yeah, i shone my light in and also poked my little stick in the back--nothing! she must have been hiding under a main rock or something. no idea what spooked her either. cindyp
hello friends! sorry to fall off the face of the earth, but have been insanely busy. 6 day trip to NYC, successful signing and saw lots of personal and author friends. flew back sick and dealt with bad cold for a week, jumping straight into 6th grade graduation for my sweet pea! SO BUSY! i was lazy and didn't clean the tank before i left for NYC. when i returned, it was fitlhy with algae on the glass, Big Red had finally come loose and fell onto the rocks--thankfully not into Big Green RFA, but close. one of my prettiest mushrooms had left its hair algaed plug, and my super saiyans were also hair algaed and it appeared naked duster had cast off its crown. he finally died a few days later. RIP NAKED DUSTER. i did a MAJOR cleaning and took out most of the rock, found the lost mushroom which is now just in the sand, and also took the shrunken iron man mushroom out. things look to be mostly back to normal. i had some good bookish news from my publisher this week--so celebrated with new florida rics! and wilma is doing well. still as piggyish as ever! i caught her mid-turn here. cindyp
so i bought a yuma a month or more back. i was a bit leery, as i had one yuma just up and melt on me (a gorgeous purple one), but thought i'd try again. this one is thriving, and two inches across at least when it opens up. i have to keep nudging it away from my orange RFA, which is skulking all over. ha! it's the only RFA i have in the sand and on the glass. stinker. this is under the dusk lights. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all those who are daddies! Wilma looks great. Welcome back. thank you, doc! glad she's doing well. fish are hard!! Welcome back!Glad to hear Wilma's doing good. Once my yellow clown goby disappeared for like a month, then randomly reappeared one day, still healthy and fat! wow! that is amazing!! Poor naked duster... He will not be forgotten!! i know. poor thing. it hung on for five months though. Link to comment
ReefWeeds
welcome back and love the new yuma! I had one, it was doing great and then one day, it just started declining. Ended up with a gaping mouth and hole right through the center into the rock. Really weird. Then I read that yumas are tougher than floridas. But I LOVE the yumas so I think I'm going to try another in a few months. Link to comment
