cindyp
i admit it. i'm mushies crazy. and with the success of monster yuma, i have been yuma crazy as well. i couldn't resist the colors of this yuma at ASD yesterday, and splurged. it is perwinkle and mint green. and it's gorgeous. i hope it does okay. the addition meant doing some rearranging in the tank. monster yuma is still being stretchy, aggressive, and monstrous. cindyp
Love your new yuma those colors! thanks, jaime! it has not moved or reacted to anything though. it is weird. hahaha! i'm used to mushies expanding or shrinking or curling up a lot. i hope it is okay. another thread mentioned the pissiness of purple yumas. and my other one (a cheaper not as pretty yuma) suddenly melted. DocReef
Yumas are hit or miss. The only ones I've had good luck with are tank raised ones. They like to just melt away for no reason. Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
crazy thunder storm yesterday and right now the rain is coming down hard here. we need it! here is a 10.5 months FTS. hard to believe we're coming onto a year in my little 8g crowded as hong kong tank. ha! everything is doing well except my poor lobo. i just could never feed it well. i don't think i do the stony skeletal corals well at all. though the mini lobo is doing fine--but it hasn't grown. thankfully, has not receded either. candy can coral head that got toasted by the monster yuma i'm hoping might recover? i had to rubber band big red mushie down today. it came off it's frag and is just too dangerous and unpredictable. i've rubber banded her to the rock slice and stuck her in the same position as you see in the shot. also, i had to stick in the wave pump as the one that came with the tank was beginning to act wonky. and i didn't want to deal with having to try and get it to work all the time etc. though not as pretty, i like the flow of this better. here is a close up of the st. thomas blue mushie (i think?) that i got from unique coral. i moved it to below the feather and it seems happy there. it is super bubbly and has a skirt that it spreads out at night. happy mushies garden! Holy Moly, Cindy! The tank looks fantastic! Love all the color you have in there - it's like a pretty rainbow under the sea. Nice shroom collection too! Link to comment

What's that insanely bright green thing towards the right? thank you! i do love my colors. that would be my Big Gree RFA. i got him on sale. he is a bit squished now. i had to kill a mushie that planted itself too close and i think stung him. but when he had more space, he'd spread to at least three inches big! i hope he spreads out again soon. new yuma was a bit gapey mouthed and is moving off of its frag. color seems okay. but it is a weird one. hrm. vlangel
thank you, vlangel! "direction". more like, what can i buy that i won't likely kill? MUSHROOMS! ALL THE MUSHIES. but i finally feel like the tank is settling down. i'm happy. wilma the purple fire fish is doing great too. i unrubber banded Big Red because she looked miserable. hopefully she stays put in her little crevice and puts her foot down. No shame in choosing corals that seem suited for your tank. I do the same. Love the new mint yuma, btw. Link to comment
cindyp
well, bad news. the beautiful yuma croaked it. it began to rot with a big whole on its side. i swear off purple yumas from now on! i obviously cannot keep them. i also finally gave up on my lobo (so sad) as it began it began to shed flesh as well. i never had any luck feeding it, it seemed? big green has decided to move to the side and back of the tank as well. at least he didn't damage anything on his way there (mushies). otherwise, gave the tank a good scrub down last week and it's looking good. everything else seems to be doing okay. Sorry to hear that. I gave up on wild Yumas a long time ago. I don't think it's anything you did wrong, they are just finicky little things. Link to comment
