I think it's either the purigen still had some bleach (doubtful), or that it's just bad. I bought 2 to rotate them, but ended up using them both over the first month or so, and then I recharged them and put some water on them and stored them in an air-tight tupperware container in the fridge. I'm not sure though. I would like to figure it out, though. Gotta get some new phyto, as well. Link to comment

CPE is like $10 every time I need a 3oz bag. I need to figure out my chemical media in this tank. CPE and purigen together worked best in the 12g I had, but this little tank seems to only like CPE so far. Lame. Link to comment

Those are(were...they sold out in 10 minutes) at my LFS, I believe they're from sustainable aquatics but I'm not sure and for $65 a piece I think the price is great! Exotic-reefs has some awesome stuff sometimes the people are the bomb as well, super cool Someone will buy that LR with the lovely purple algae and will be happy about it LOL Link to comment
