Dear R Zhuang,

Great interest in your bulbs lighting. Good health to you. It is my great willing for high pressure sodium lamp.

Check to see if salt has built up where the airline connects to the skimmer. I've had skimmers in the past stop making bubbles and that was always the problem. If it's still producing bubbles like it has in the past then you just cleaned it to good.

So your plate is wrong. The holes should be over the outlet of the pump. According to what I did. For all I know the last cleaning I screwed it up. It wasn't but a month ago I cleaned it.

No his plate is correct, the part that does NOT have holes should be over the pump output. The part that does have holes should not be over the output...

Thanks!

I actually just turned the plate so the bubbles were over the holes and not the non holed area. Now I've got considerably more height. Sticking my hands in here always lowers it too.

The way yours is pictured is how my plate was, but it's now turned so the water and air blast right through? Not sure what's up with that.

That is incorrect.

Well, I'll have to change it back. Doing what I did got the water level and bubbles up to the bottom of the neck. I've tried everything at this point.

Just moved the plate. Water level went down and skimmer is still a piece of crap.

It's gotta be the pump. The thing is cleaned up and I've checked everything at this point. Maybe it's so clean it needs to break in.......probably not.

Give it some time, if it doesn't start working right flip it back if it will push the head up enough. But the "proper way" is how you have it now.

Got a new return pump! Purchased the sicce .5 that I originally planned on using. It's a perfect fit for my overflow box. Finally got rid of the mj1200. Here's a few random pics of my fish and the pump. Not a big update......more to come, incoming frags in the next few weeks.

Shiet, that dotty is a cool one. Can't wait for these corals to grow out....the scape is all finished nicely and everything.

No I'm all out of rock. I don't even have any rubble left either, sorry. That's pretty sweet you can set up a tank at work.

I'll try and get a pic. They have been half closed up since adding the razor. I'm jot sure if I should move them up or what? I don't want to mess with the settings since most everything else is getting use to the new lights.
