Are you seriously going to wait till 1800 hours before opening up the butt on the whoopie dog?

Is surgery the only option?? haha. I am hoping my SS will reveal himself/herself and tell me there's a secret zipper somewhere....

jack1978 was my nanoreef secret santa, and one of the gifts he got me was the Tunze Care Magnet Nano. I used it today and LOVE it. It's bigger than the TLF Nano Mag, but it's able to clean the bottom of the glass soooo much better without picking up sand. And the Tunze is much better at scraping off stubborn spots. And instead of leaving it in the tank, I take it out after each use since it's all plastic and a quick wipe dries it.

some pics of jack's awesome "wrapping":

Tank looks great Ninja.....I recently got one of those tunze nano care mags and love it too. I wish it floated, but I would rather deal with no floating and have the added functionality to be able to not worry about sand getting trapped.

I just have to move a few frags away from the glass so I dont knock them over when I am cleaning the bottom.

Ninja, where did the cruise end up going?? What'd you guys do? Any excursions or just a boozefest?

We stopped at Cozumel and Progresso. Cozumel was awesome; the water is soooo blue. We just walked around Cozumel and did some shopping. Progresso was a total dump. There's nothing there. It's a very poor city / port. We did a combo excursion with tandem biking, mayan ruins, paddle boarding, and beach. Beach at Progresso was full of seaweed and coconut tree leaves and brown water...yuck. On sea days, it was alot of eating and sleeping and drinks in the evenings. And the damn casino money pit. Lost like $150 on slots and blackjack and it was dealer face up blackjack!

Haha, sounds awesome. Cozymel is always a fun place. Never been to Progresso, but I'll be sure to avoid.

Casino on the boat is always fun, but yeah.... and you tell yourself "just one more shoot, my luck can't be this bad"... then you gotta cancel an excursion b/c of it lol.

We were playing slots next to this guy that got 7 bonuses in 15 mins. He was up $200 almost in slots. We were down $50 playing the same type of machine. ARGH!

Was it one of those slots where you can win 'free spins'? It's all about the free spins.

yup...no free spins for us.

Bad luck for sure. I swear to god though... In Vegas, in most casinos, there is a 'fish' type slot game that offers free spins. I don't know the name of it but it's a newer model slot (penny slot) and I've won big the last two times in Vegas playing them. Perhaps if we ever have a Vegas convention...

Welcome back! The tank is looking great as usual. I loved Jack1978's present but your blow by blow reporting on "opening the package" made my week :)

On the Tunze scraper, how do you think it would do on a tank with rounded corners? And are the plastic blades replaceable? I like my TLF nano mag but like you said, it doesn't do as well on the tough stuff near the bottom, and it picks up sand really easily.

It works ok on rounded corners. It gets most of the way into the corner, but I still have to do the corners by hand after a couple weeks. It does not float, so if you try to go too far into the corner, it will fall off and you will be reaching down to the sandbed to get it. It will not go around the corner either, so you will have to manually transfer it from side pane to front pane, to the other side pane, etc. Honestly, knowing that I will not scratch the glass due to sand getting stuck in between the cleaner and glass is enough for me to never use anything else again. Oh, and the plastic blades are replaceable and it comes with 1 extra blade right off the bat. Have you seen the video demoing it? As you see in the video, you can literally go down into the sand without fear of picking up any sand.

Hmmm... That's the part I hate most about tank maintenance day. I can never get that "line" just above the sand as clean as I would like. I should maybe look into one of these!

+1 to what cchsoracle said. It's a little bulky compared to the TLF mag so I dont leave it in the tank. Although I shouldn't have left the TLF one in it either since they are prone to rusting. Also, make sure you have room between glass and corals so you dont smack your frags around like I did.

I was wondering if I was the only one who had experienced this.
