Ninja's 12g PicO S III ~ Tank Leaking Taking it Down ~

thanks! it IS too crowded so i am selling some corals today =). I been debating whether to get rid of the LEFT rock completely. Will my tank crash if I do that? I want to replace it with just corals...hahah. The rock is just too big, and I am not fond of the maxi minis anymore. And the sea of xenias on top is blocking alot of light from reaching the bottom of the tank.

I have removed a rock or two in the past and had no issues. As long as your SB is relatively clean (and thereby functioning properly) you should be fine since that is typically where most of the biological filtration takes place. Porous LR also facilitates biological filtration, of course, but it's greatest asset (IMO) is as a stable site for periphyton which have a surprising ability to keep the water clean and clear.

yea, i am just worried because that rock is like 60% of my LR... I vacuum and stir the sand religiously so it's pretty clean =).

Oh, I know I could squeeze it in somewhere .

I think I like the corky sea finger even more!

I like the white polyps.

Ummm, that is a big rock. The ones I removed were only ~20% of my total LR.

Good lookin pics ninja... Looks like someone is gonna have to upgrade here pretty soon. That thing is packed!

if they have a show on "coral" hoarders, i will be the first episode...i am hoping to rescape soon to make more room =). no upgrade till I move to a bigger place...then it will be either the Fluval M90 or the CADLight 45g shallow.

I do have a credit with KPA. I would be disappointed if it wasn't snow white like that though. Someone else go for it :).

I am adding pictures today, the mystic sunset is my most aggressive encrusting coral. It has a whole 10 mm over the past 4 weeks. Give it time. Adding pictures now.
