The Zoa and Paly Club

Holy cow! That took a while. So many awesome colored Zoas and Palys. It's amazing to see how many color variations are out there!

How do they do that? Can Zoas be cross bred? If so, how?

I have a couple in my tank and just ordered some Fire and Ice Zoas from my LFS. I'll be getting them on Friday. I'm excited.

Here are the ones I have: Sorry for the lousy pictures, I have yet to figure out how to make the pictures look like the true colors. More so on the last 3 pics. My next tank purchase will be a good camera. LOL

All bought as frags w/ no names.

Any thoughts on these? Do they have a name? Has anyone seen them before? I was told they are locally grown.

Green centers with red outs, some yellow starting to show up over the red.

Thanks for looking.

I'll post pics of the Fire and Ice when I get them and when my Blues open up.

I'm hooked!

Edit:

Here are some blues that I got the other day. They haven't fully opened yet.

Those are either watermelons or eagle eyes (not sure if there even is a dif between the two). If you're interested in ID-ing the actual species, I have a nifty link in my sig ;)

Thanks! That's a helpful link. Looks like I might have to start requesting some of those from my LFS.

Learned something new, they definitely look like indo-pacific. Thanks for the help. I like the long skirt on them.

Wow, those first ones remind of poppies. They're all crazy beautiful, always. Do you use any special zoa food? or overall reef supplement to make them all so perfect?

I feed them zooplankton + water quality + Amino acid.
