Maxspect LED Lighting System "Group Buy"

Any idea if the frame rails can be changed so that they mount from left to right instead of front to back on the tank as shown in the pictures? I have a Red Sea 130D and the back is occupied by the stock hood mounts and plastics.

 

Thinking about the G2-160w but is this the "yellow" looking version? Between the many different forum boards, I am lost on which was which and which had swappable LEDS.

I am sure you could mod the rails that way but if you are going to through all that trouble you might as well hang it or make a new rail system. The rail system i think is expandable to 36 inches. As for the pics of the mounting here they are.

Mine tripped my GFCI when I plugged it in. My electrician said it should not be a problem.I have a fan in my garage and it trips the GFI also. I used a different plug and no problems yet and light is going on 1 1/2 months.

unfortunately no, The coral was added mid Feb and I accidentally deleted all my pictures prior to getting the LED. Prior to the LED lights it was under 2 t-5 white lights. all the other corals were added after the purchase of the LED. Tank was setup in Sep2008 moved in Feb2009,Feb2010. Tank chemical parameters are as follows.

Just posting to hopefully ease the pain for those waiting on there light to show up. Mine was sent last Saturday and it was waiting for me today when I got off work. Very fast shipping imo from China to Houston! I wasn't expecting it until at least mid next week.

 

My impressions so far just from unpacking it and plugging it in are :D :D Now I'm new to the hobby and haven't had any experience with other LED fixtures, but I know bad craftsmanship when I see it and this fixture imo is very solid and well built! It came packaged well with no shipping damage. Long story short, I'm very happy I made the purchase! I got the G2 110w version and have included some pics below.

Hey everyone was wondering if anyone that have a maxspect fixture setup had any problem with their zoas damage or shrink. I know well that they'll do good with SPS. I just kinda worry about my zoas melting. Lmk thanks

I added some Zoas from a friend's tank and they haven't shrunk but some did get a tan. Basically a few got a glossy dark coloration on the oral disc. They are still very happy and seem to love the light.

The rail system and hanging hardware are included. Maxspect is no longer including the Clip-ons, special order only for $7.50
