Also good progress on the canopy. thanks. the rock on the left used to be a freshwater liverock that came with my redtail catfish. the one on the right side came from pismo beach.(the bestest place ever!!!!) i dried em out, soaked em for 24hrs in vinegar water, dried em again, then rinsed/soaked in ro for 24hrs, now theyre in the tank.. and ya this is alot of work for a "ghetto-canopy". but its gonna be worth it once its painted and i put the 13w actinic in there.... pismo_reefer Posted November 2, 2008 Author Share Posted November 2, 2008 is that light taped in?might want to find a more secure way of fixing it its not taped in....i actually bent a peice of the reflector to hold in the bulb....its only temp until i get a light clip. dang 53watts of light in a 2g tank, that's freaking awesome. no led moonlight? yeah....it should be just enuf for the zoa's....lol. and the moonlights are comin, but my sons birthday party is today so i'll be super busy! but maybe tonight or tomoro. Can't wait to see some corals in there, but I am not saying to rush it. thanks! the canopy is definately getting filled-up, and i still have to put 2 moonlights in there. .... with the actinic in there, it gives it a more 14K look...and i like blue tanks...and ya i gotta check my param's today, but im sure that theyre still really bad (dead rock and all). i cant wait for this pico to be cycled, cuz i have alot of stuff to go in it already. is gonna be shweet!!! pismo_reefer Posted November 5, 2008 Author Share Posted November 5, 2008 so i checked my parameters today, and they were as follows: amm-0 nitrite-0 nitrate-15 ...so i did a small water change. (10% of 1.86g, now thats a small waterchange...) then i added some color.... oranges greens feather duster green DE's & eagleye's GDE color morph isla del zoo.... and chewy green/pink colony frag ...and some tank shots. FTS: so lets hear some opinions guys.... Link to comment
