arnt zoos alot of money ???

Zoanthids range from $.50 a polyp to $500 a polyp. So yes, and no. For the expensive ones ($10 per polyp is the most I've paid), you just buy a frag with 3 polyps and let it grow.

treated with fwe before entering my tank

on one frag/polyp looks like the fingers

on part of the skirt have been shaved off??

on another the stalk looks..well like a white bite is out of it

have observed few different kinds of pods crawling all over

Just wanted to drop a note in here....

I have been messing with my tank chemestry, trying to figure out what makes my zoas grow faster.

I lowered the salinity to 1.023 usually around 25.

And I also have been keeping up on my iodine suppliments (I used to forget to add any)

And I also have been adding Strontium.

I would say my zoas have kicked it up a notch. I have seen MUCH faster growth than before I started adding stuff. I was told my the guy I got my AOG that they grow super slow, and in the last month they have 3 new heads. I test of course with salifert kits to make sure its all in the right perams. Just wanted to throw that out there for anyone like me wanting to get your zoas to grow a little faster. :)

Thanks guys.. I grew those Nuclears from 2-3 polyps since last week of September and has never fragged them... :)

pretty decent growers IME.. but it takes them a while to acclimate and for the polyps to reach adulthood... I would say it takes 4-6 weeks for it to acclimate and it normally takes 6-8 weeks for the baby polyps to reach adulthood.... :)
