lgreen
some coral shots: my camera sucks, so forgive me on some of the pics. i am getting better with the sony, but it still doesn't take the best pics. zoos pink and green zoos solomon island zoos super neon green pimpled mushrooms AND the best for last... Eagle Eye Zoo rock w/ 50 polyps that i got for $12.00 (score!!) just now opening up. Link to comment
lgreen
crap! just got home and my tank was 90 degrees! I left the metal halides on all day for the first time. i guess i better get some fans on there, but i am worried that may not be enough. now i am a little bit stressed out. not to mention my plumbing is ####ing me off. i think i am going to rip all the plumbing and pumps out and redo the whole water movement thing. i don't like how it is now. if i don't get the temp figured out, the MH are going out the window too. Stanley
hey.... it'll be okay, try not to stress out. More air-circ will sort out the heat. Post some pics of the plubing if you get a chance... what's bothering you about it? Good luck. Link to comment
lgreen
thanks stanley i dont know....there is just a bunch of stuff on this tank that didn't turn out to work how i planned. just needs some more work and it will be fine. Link to comment
MdM31
Go to walmart and buy some cheap clip on fans ($8). Slap one on your sump and the canopy, or in your case you could try to get some type of fan to blow across the water. Evap will be higher, but hey 80degrees is better than 90. -Mike Link to comment
MdM31
($8) i mean 8 dollars not a screwy face lol. Link to comment
lgreen
i went and got one of those honeywell tornado fans like tigahboy has. problem solved! worked great temp hovering around 81-81. not bad. i might grab some of those clip fans too though. Link to comment
Pili
i have one of those fans also, they definatly move alot of air and took care of my heat issues completely. I also pluged it in to my timer for my main lights so that it goes on and off with the lights so there is no excess evap. Link to comment
lgreen
yah, it moves air great, but it is a little noisier than i expected. oh well. Link to comment
