update 1/24/06

Tank is clean, sump is clean, 120 lbs of arag-alive sitting on my desk.

Started plenum construction. Cut the egg crate to size, must go to lowes tommorow and get more pvc pipe. I will post pics and instructions when I get it done.

After that, minor plumbing, and tank will be ready to be filled with water.

ETA for completion is next monday.

First fish & corals most likely the following sunday.

lol

Just have to glue a few more pieces of pvc and waiting for the maxijet 1200 powerheads and bucket of reef crystals to arrive from live aquaria.

It is turning out way awesome. I cant wait to fire it up.

There will be tons of pics and probably a new thread next week.

MY TANK IS DONE!

All plumbing is done and tank is filled with water. Adding sand and plenum tommorow.

I just got home from work though and am tired. New thread and pics tommrow. I still got a bunch more pics to take.

To celebrate it finally being done, I decided to make some crazy impulsive purchases today:

-Pacific Coast Imports CL-450 1/6 hp Chiller w/ built in dual stage controller and heater port

pc-cl450.jpg

-MRC C-1 Calcium Reactor

CR1s.jpg

-Dual Gauge CO2 Regualtor

-Pinpoint pH controller

Anyways, so watch for a new thread.

I took the tank down about a year ago. Getting ready to set it back up. I'll start a new thread since I bought all new equipment and am going to set it up a little different.

Also, haven't decided if I am going to keep this tank or get a different one. I really want a 4ft tank. Maybe a 72g bowfront or 75g.
