Travis
That was my delemah as well. Chose the matrixx because it seemed more refined, less industrial looking. Link to comment

Travis
Just got the Starcki acclimated into the tank. WOW is it healthy! Within minutes it was picking pods off the rocks. Little guy worked up and appetite in shipping. I'll post a pick later once he is fully acclimated when i turn the tank lights back on. Link to comment
Travis
Well we took a 5 day trip down to orange Beach, AL this past week and had a great time. Like any reefer with an Apex, I monitored the tank about every 5 minutes...lol ok maybe like once an hour Anyway, so I noticed my PH jumped and was holding steady over 8, see highlighted portion of the graph. I guess us not being in the house producing CO2 from breathing and cooking on the gas stove top made the difference. Hell, some of the Acros and Montis have new growth tips since I left. Pretty neat. Anyone else experience this? Link to comment
HarryPotter
That's awesome! I wonder if you would benefit from keeping a window open or something. I know some people use pH buffers but that always seems tricky Link to comment

I know some people use pH buffers but that always seems tricky I wish I could do that. Down here in Louisiana, the heat, humidity, and mosquitos prevent me from doing that. lol Link to comment
drgibby
Just found this build. It was fun to read through it. I still can't believe they sent you a new tank and just let you keep the old one. The more big tank builds i see the more it makes me want to do one myself. Love your stand by the way its so clean Link to comment

Travis
^^^ really good looking settings there. Running a 50% overall reduction from that on acclimation mode for the next 3 months. Link to comment
Travis
Nice!! Great choice Thanks! Really feeling good about it. I was worried for a moment when trying out the the "kelvin wheel". Every setting seemed to cause a disco ball. After toning down the red and white manually, it killed the disco and all was well. Link to comment
Travis
Ok so here are some pics from today marking the first full day of LED lighting. Let's see how things change color and grow as we go. Any one know what this is??? FTS Link to comment
