Steensj2004
Looking good, Steens!!!Thank you Stella! Best part is the CBB eats the heck outta my LFS homemade food, and had been eating it for about 3 weeks now in the store. The yellow Tang has shown some aggression toward the CBB, so he might go away as copper banded are my favorite fish ever. I've waited forever to snag one eating prepare food well. Link to comment

Yeah, the tang will beat up on him because the have similar shapes. This happened to me too when I had my 75G running a long time ago. Link to comment

No issues yet, but it always works until it doesn't. Yellow tang removed. Was beating the crap outta the CBB. Link to comment

Steensj2004
In case anyone is interested, I have finished my calcium and magnesium test kits from NYOS, and am less than impressed. Half way through my readings were crazy, bought some more salifert to compare. I had to start cleaning the syringes with RO/DI water every test to get accurate results. No idea why, likely some sort of user error. However, I would get the wrong results(when compared to Salifert) when using them right out of the box, and correct results after cleaning the damn things with q-tips and RD/DI water. No idea what happened, don't know if I contaminated them or if I just suck at testing. Salifert always reads true though. As a note, the alkalinity always has been accurate. Link to comment
Steensj2004
Considering starting to culture my own Live Adult Brine. Plan to use 2-liter bottles for hatching, and the following for for growout: -Deep Blue Professional 2.2 Gallon Cube OR Split Betta Tank( torn on this. The split tank would allow me to start 2 cultures a 1.5 weeks apart so I can have a constant culture going. Unsure if the split 1 gallon would be enough space though) -Danner AP-2 Dual outlet Airpump -Deep Blue 4" Airstone disk( for growout tank -Standard Desk Lamp For light -Feed Spirulina Powder( a million people make it in powder for for cheap. 10.00 gets me enough for a lifetime) I just want to tinker with something I figure I can hatch in a 2 liter setup and transfer into the 2.2 gallon for growout. Suggestions? Edit:I am now thinking one of these three tanks, maybe even the 3 way one? Would allow me 3 cultures. I couldn't Imagine that .5 gallons per culture wouldn't be enough, although I've never done this. http://www.dtpetsupplies.com/catalog/15-gallon-3-way-betta-tank-black-12x6x6-with-glass-canopy-and-divider-p-69860.html http://www.dtpetsupplies.com/catalog/1-gallon-2-way-tall-betta-tank-black-8x4x8-wglass-canopy-and-dividers-p-69989.html Link to comment
