LOL, its purpleish and white striped with wicked neon green tentacles. It looks pretty good under full spectrum, sexy under a blue+ and a true actinic, but jawdropping under LED blues

Yea Im taking that same gamble. He got a ton in on a shipment, so the price was right, but I lost that orange one that I was really fond of just like you. Still not sure what happened, I was having some issues at the time, but that little green plate, which I have had through all the afore mentioned problems, has gone from the size of a penny to larger than a quarter and looks great. Who knows :(

How long have you had the little green one? I didn't realize you could buy them that small!

it came off a "plate tree" random rock that sprouted probably a hundred plates and is still pumpin em out. I've had it for 6 months I think, one of the first corals I got after setting back up

I always forget I have plate corals, maybe that's why they do well for me. I have a cool little green one with orange highlights in my 29 that I forgot about till now. Just looked to make sure he was ok. :D Something about being on the sandbed and me not cleaning the glass very well makes them go unnoticed.

Lol, hopefully this one does well. My encrusting fungia has been growing real well, so I hope all is well.

Oh that's lots o fun stuff sir. Apex looks like it'll be cool to play with.

I expect it'll be leagues better than the old school aqua controller I'm using now. And now I won't need the space heater downstairs

Apex is in and running well. It took me a while to get the wireless do-dad running right, but its going now. I only got the Jr as I am not looking to run my lights off the apex... and the extra 250 just wasnt there for me as I run a simple system and dont, atleast currently, need THAT many outlets.

My lights are on timers and my top off is a DIY that also has a battery back up for my jeabo (~48 hours run time) so the outlets look like this currently

1 Heater(s) (Im not sure what the best way to run this is currently, still researching as I think I might should have them on separate outlets with one set to only kick on to bump it those few extra degrees with the other being the "main heater")

2 Return

3 Skimmer

4 Empty

Im debating between a PM1 for PH and an PM2 for salinity, Ill probably be able to grab a PM1 locally... but all in good time

I'd put them on the same outlet, Having it on a 2nd outlet is just taking up an extra outlet. They will both come on together, but it will also take less time to maintain or get up to temp.

Ive got to send Jase some info about it too, when I get home from work I'll get the links together.

Long story short tho, 24v into a relay and through to the pump, when the power fails and 24v input is interrupted the relay clicks over to three dry cell 12v batteries in series. Real easy project, a few plugs, a 24v relay and them find a good battery, only part that costs anything

I miss my pinwheel. Just crawled under a ledge and croaked one day. Then my prized plate got cooked under the new LEDs while I was away at tech school. Favorite piece I've ever had, made me a very sad panda.

The goodies "back in the day." All of those tiny acans are now the colonies I sent Glenn haha.

Looks like your old pinwheel and mine are next to identical, I miss my orange plate, hated it when that one kicked the bucket.

Couple of weekend updates

I broke down and built a top for the tank, with adding fish I had to take that step

I got my McCosker's Wrasse today, its a small sub adult male, but already switched over. He was flashing the other wrasse through the glass, but wasnt the most aggressive out of the lot. Ive seen him moving around some, and hope to get a picture in the next few days
