cindyp
okay, friends. so i was up till 1.40am last night due to time change. and i saw the feathers peeping out. i was too afraid to turn on the lights even for fear of startling it! anyway, hub said maybe it's not fully extended, but still, i think its plumes are way small compared to original crown. i know this is the case when they dump their crown and make a second--it is smaller but it breaks my heart a little! at least it is still alive. i hope it can bounce back. NO sign of it this morn. Leave the duster where it is. The less you move stuff, the more it will all settle in. thanks, ben. i need some of your jedi mojo for this feather dude. Link to comment
teenyreef
I'm so happy for you! I would say if it's growing a new crown, don't change anything, just keep doing what you're doing and don't move it since it seems to be happy with things the way they are right now Link to comment

So glad he regrew his little crown! thank you, john and kimber! i will leave him be. i found another older nano reef thread about this, and someone well versed said they'd be super jumpy the first few weeks and only come out at night. i continue to dose with phyto feast and feed occasional oyster feast. fingers crossed! Maniu
If you are concerned about overfeeding phyto or Oster feast or your filtration system to keep up with extra nutrients.... You can try this product. It works quite well. It stinks like a mother..... but it is worth it. Link to comment

Wish I could but I am kinda running out of real estate and more coming next week. In fact, I probably gonna have to remove few things to make room. There is one anemone in my tank tho. It was a gift for someone but turned out it wasn't welcome so it stayed with me. It's curlicue nem. These are great with pistol shrimp as they coexist in symbiotic relationship. You have to post pics when your nems acclimate to new home. What color variety did you get? Curlicue nem just in front of fuzzy gorg. Link to comment
cindyp
tankies! i finally got a pinstriped flower nem! it is a deep pink! she's the smallest i've gotten, though she might not be fully open yet. right now, she looks about 1.5 inches, maybe? i came home right when we went to moonies, so here's a foto for now.
