Funkateer_1
You mentioned having some extra kz skimmers? What's up with that ...pm me! PM sent! Try moving the stubborn corals higher up in the tank or on a frag rack. I should try this, though I absolutely hate frag racks in my tank. The growth is good and PE is phenomenal but it just won't lighten up. I think it's my halides. I run Ushio 20k and I hate the color. I'll swap for pheonix 14ks soon. I keep seeing these tank-bred Clarions up at LAX and I can't get them out of my head. I WANT ONE Link to comment

exactlyobp
Loving the zeo color! What is your dosing schedule? Link to comment
Funkateer_1
My current schedule as of 4/15 - Zeostart 3: .1mL twice a day or .2mL daily. This dosage isn't consistent. Sometimes I take a day off or add a little more. The algae on my glass and what I fed the day before is my canary - Zeobak: 2 drops Mon, Weds, Fri - Zeovit: 500mL swapped every 6 weeks. Reactor flow roughly 40-50GPH - KZ Carbon 100mL swapped monthly. Placed in a bag next to the skimmer outflow. - Coral Vitalizer: 2-10 drops daily - Sponge Power: 2 drops daily - Pohl's Xtra Sp: 2mL Mon, Weds, Fri. Sometimes I add more - Coral Snow: 2mL every now and then - Zeofood: 2 drops every now and then - Zeospur: 1mL 1-2x a month - AAHC: 2 drops usually every day - Biomate: 2 drops Weekly - B - Balance: 2 mL 1-2x week - Stylo-Pocci Grow: 2 drops Weds, Sat - Flatworm Stop: 2mL M,W,F Mixed with Coral Booster- Coral Booster: 2mL M,W,F Mixed with Flatworm Stop - PIF 2 drops Weds, Sun - Zeozym 1/4 tsp weekly I feed LRS food, Hikari Marine S Pellets, Hikari Mega marine/algae/angel, Phyto/oyster/roti/R.O.E feast, usually everyday. I've been on a feeding bender for the past 2 weeks and my corals have never done better. I change 20% of the water weekly using NSW from Scripps Pier in San Diego Link to comment
exactlyobp
Holy batman, thank you! How do you like using NSW? Have you used any regular salt mix? Link to comment
Funkateer_1
I've used them all. I've been on Tropic Marin Std. for about 8 years personally. I played with KZ Reefer's best, TMPR, Aqua Vitro Salinity, Red Sea (garbage IMO, rather use anything else), and pretty much every commercial brand I know of. They all have their pros and cons. It just depends on what your looking for out of your salt. I use natural because I have a service route on Tuesdays for my company and have to haul around 60g gallons of saltwater in the back of my pickup truck. Going to the pier and using ocean water is much easier haha... I have noticed literally no difference on my tank using NSW vs. artificial, but then again my tank is very over filtered. Funkateer_1
id like to see/know more of the viv! Its a 20g long. One of the old oceanic tanks with tinted glass on the side. Perfect for vivs. It's been running for over 5 years at a service guys warehouse. He gave it to me a few days ago and I trimmed back the ferns and replaced the waterfall pump. I filled the water feature up with some riccia so hopefully it'll take off. Link to comment
