This version of the forum doesn't support changing the PPP, though I managed to convince CM when he did the big update that we needed at least 25PPP instead of 15 like is the default. WTF, 15PPP is nothing! Link to comment

Wow...that food from Albert is really working for you!!!!! I think your acans are my favorites now. Thanks Gena! I love the fluffy acans as well, that little orange one is just wow. gena
I wish I had more room for my acans. I have 4 of them and they are all scrunched together on one rock. I do love how plump they get. Link to comment
FlowerMama
Thanks for those before and after, it is incredible what further puffiness they've added to the acans. And I appreciate the fact it made a change in all your corals, not just some. Link to comment

I know and more in plain view for me, I love them but the only space I had was in the middle like that. Thanks for those before and after, it is incredible what further puffiness they've added to the acans. And I appreciate the fact it made a change in all your corals, not just some. Thank you! The zoas are growing like weeds, the SPS are branching out and the LPS are all puffy and happy. Really, in a teeny capsule these things have a ton of power! Awesome reef food. Link to comment
FlowerMama
I stopped by w/ Hagen surprising both of you guys for sure, didn't I?!. I hadn't walked Hagen in a long time, and not on that road in a good long while, and of course I remembered why- traffic. Hagen enjoyed himself, he just has no appreciation for fish tanks, to see the colors, the layout, the growth. I know he wanted to play w/ your pooch and maybe more with the kitties. It's amazing to me seeing a tank like yours, so much color, lots of texture. And yeah, your shrimp goby pair are very awesome. So made for each other. Your tank inspired me, I went home and took some pics of mine. Nice to see ya, I hope your husband doesn't think I'm weird, just stopping over like that w/ no warning, completely unannounced, uninvited. Of course Hagen is sleeping ahead of time, I guess it was a lot of excitement for him. Link to comment

It just feels invigorating when it's cooler- I sleep so much better too. Cool morning today, kinda shocked to wake up & the house was 64. And then we're almost at 80 later today. Kinda crept up on us after that warm weekend. Poor boy he is tired huh? Lots of sniffs today for him. He is such a cutie. And thanks again your welcome any time. They have sub companies for every pet category, Fluval is just a fish one. Exo Terra is the reptile one, Glo, Nutrafin, Aquaclear, it's all Hagen. http://usa.hagen.com/ourbrands Link to comment

FlCandy
So I have some bad news. Kevin the big Squamosa (teal rimmed guy) died for unknown reasons yesterday. He had been a bit mad after jumping from the rock he was attached to and my only guess is he damaged himself and just couldn't recover. I am beside myself the last 24 hours and could barely look at the tank until about an hour ago to take a few pics of the other two to try and perk my spirits. A year is a damn long time but not as long as it should have been and I keep thinking what could I have done. He literally looked great until 24 hours before he passed, just not open as much and I was just thinking okay your coming back, then overnight wham bam dead when I woke up. For now I will make myself post pics of everything else really the only reason I am not breaking this thing down and selling everything is that the other two clams are doing perfect, the SPS are growing like weeds, and the fish are all thriving. The Cyano had a bloom after his passing and being in over night, but it's falling back again today. I am at a loss. All tests are perfect. Levels are stable. No explanation, and I only noticed the bristle worms checking him out after he was starting to try and die. So it wasn't them....... See the food in his belly Needs a fragging soon..... ORA Red Planet Acans Yasha Bowie with algae in his mouth Bowie Quorra Flynn Kind of cool top down of the Red Planet Lytho looking awesome Like a weed it just doesn't stop! Abstract ORA Green Tip Scripps, it's too tall to get it all in a pic top down, had to do this instead. Hungry Brains Xerxes on display for me for once. Flynn again So yeah basically those pics tell the story of how the tank is doing. Me not so good. All I can do to look at the tank it's just not the same. Sigh...... guess I will try for now, we will see what happens... those 2 blue clammies are all that keeps me from doing the breakdown right now. Thanks for looking and your kind words, I am sorry if I do not reply, I haven't been able to think about him without beating myself up. Be back on tomorrow. Thanks again. Link to comment
FlowerMama
Randy- You can't beat yourself up, you did nothing wrong girl! From everything I've seen and read with your tanks and personally seeing how knowledgeable you are, it wasn't anything you caused. He jumped, he hurt himself, there are certain things you can't stop. Just like w/ my husband- should I have urged harder for him to go to the hospital? Is there anything I could have done? no. And would he think I gave him the best care? Yes, more than the best, but even some things you cannot help. Link to comment
gena
I am soooo sorry to hear this. Big hugs Randi!!!! I know you loved him so. We all did. You can't beat yourself up for this. Don't ever say you will tear down this tank. That would be the real tragedy!!! Sorry again. (((hugs))) I have a cool dog Hagen! My husband would've enjoyed knowing his name had 2 meanings. markalot
Awe man, sorry about the clam. Colors look terrific, something I have constantly struggled with ... but I have a crystal clear sand bed. Trues me, I'd take cyano any day of the week instead of my drab colors. Link to comment
