animalmaster6
I think I'll try that and NP Biopellets. Link to comment
bitts
the biopellets may not work well in the calc reactor since there designed to be run in a fluidized bed filter. recirculating reactor vs continues flow may affect the bacterial growth. Due to aerobic vs anaerobic conditions. though sulfur reactors are recirculating so mmm... Link to comment
animalmaster6
What do the NP Biopellets go in then? Link to comment

bitts
return line goes above the water line in tank, then before entering there is a siphon brake which drains into the overflow. this prevents back siphoning from the display tank while allowing for a drilled return line. Link to comment

bitts
Next time I move the tank, I will be modifying the setup to have the siphon brake at the top of the return towers. to prevent air bubbles from biulding up at times. Link to comment

bitts
Last night, both the porcelain crab & the shrimp molted. At First thought nothing of this, since the hermits would do this all the time. But the skimmer has been going mad at random times in the last 24-36 hours. Its probably nothing since the water is good. But do you think its a stress response. Link to comment
