Holy Macroalgae, Batman!!!

I'd be really interested in knowing how many different kinds of macroalgae you can find in this tank.

Still very cool.

Whatcha gonna do with this tank after you win the, I mean after the contest is over?

Very nice! You can't see the coralz for the trees! I love the way your tank has developed.

Thank You Susan. :)

Funny how there seems to be a different dominant macro each month isn't it?

 Well, that was my intent initially, to ID each one but laziness and other reefin' projects have taken priority.

I doubt I have a chance at winning as I think I like all the other remaining tanks better than this one LOL, but I will keep this one going I think and load it up with mini's if I can obtain them. :)

Looks very cool! I still likey ahlot :)

Thanks Maria! And right back atcha. ;)

Woops, ya snuck in ther on me D! :P

Yup, some ceriths, dwarf ceriths, nerites, couple blue legs, one red leg

As you can see they really keep the macro in check.

Was that a reefcleaners order? I haven't found dwarf ceriths anywhere else.

And yes, they're in heaven will all that green, I'm sure!

not trying to bash, but trying to appreciate the beauty of this tank. is your goal really trying to grow as much macro algae as possible in this challenge?

the only coral i see in your pictures are the mushrooms

Part of an order from John, yes.

They are funny to watch after the lights go out it seems they all decide to hit the front glass. Little pendants haging all over. :P

Silly snails.

Those are mini 'nems, not mushies. They were added to the tank later on as I was able to obtain a couple and this tank was my best option for housing them ( being fish-less ). There are also two types of Porites that came in on the rock.

No " challenge" really. If you did not read from the beginning, my idea was to get live rock with as much life and as fresh as possible and do whatever I could to save and support the life that came to be in my care.

I wanted to try this for quite a while and this contest came along and the two ideas seemed to mesh well.

At the very least it gave me the final push to start the tank. As I have said many times, I am not in this to win, just along for the ride.

I enjoy this tank very much and plan on keeping it going as long as I can.

Thanks for the interest D999. :)
