Yeah, but it's the pics that matter....not the technicality of the words LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! dshnarw
Shouldn't this be a summertime thread now? well, I tried for ya Jer, but strikethrough doesn't work on thread titles. Maybe you can make it work with your magical mod powers Yeah, but it's the pics that matter....not the technicality of the words LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! Some of my good friends/family call me dandy or dandylion as a nick name because it's kinda close and my b-day is in summer...and...well it just is cute Thanks! My sister really liked that one...but now she's mad cause I can do selective coloring on the flower, but it never looks right on her eyes. You got some pretty good shots yourself. The gnome is pretty funny. Link to comment

dshnarw
Got bored today while cleaning, so some pics of some of our orchids...only a couple in bloom right now with a couple more to bloom in the next couple months (too bad all the Cattleya's bloom in the spring), but the two in bloom are nice ones, especially the red Phalenopsis. Phalaenopsis "Brother Lancer" Phalaenopsis pulcher x "Buddha's Treasure" and then I got really bored, so I did some HDR stuff on the windowsill with some of our orchids... (my coldwater tank is on the left) not my best HDR attempts, but kind of amusing. Link to comment
dahliaheartsyou
That is the most beautiful flower I have ever seen... I always heard orchids were impossible to take care of, but they are so unique. Have you seen Adaptation, the movie? Link to comment
dshnarw
That is the most beautiful flower I have ever seen...I always heard orchids were impossible to take care of, but they are so unique. Have you seen Adaptation, the movie? I loved that one when we found it...surprisingly it was a local buy, too. Most of our orchids we picked out in Hawaii and had sent over. We've had no trouble at all keeping orchids. Right now, there's 20 pots throughout the house. The smallest ones are in the bathroom window, which is built into the tub/shower, the rest are in the living room and bedroom windows near fish tanks. The key is to have south or east facing windows, humidity (provided by the shower and the fish tanks for us), and only water once every week and a half (stick them in the tub, turn on the shower for a couple minutes, let them drain, and put them back). One of the few flowers I've been able to keep without killing...so far. I haven't seen Adaptation, but a quick Wikipedia search makes it sound interesting...might have to rent that sometime.
