Lalani
Best thing about it was it was $69. I kind of gave the guy at my LFS the narrow eye. Like, "are you sure?" I feel $69 is a fair price but I was expecting it to be more especially since they usually charge out the butt for plain stuff anyway. I got a better picture of it today all fluffy and stuff. It's so nice. I think with tax return money (after I pay off recent hospital bills lol) I'm going to buy a pot of gold favia and a rainbow acan frag, possibly a strawberry shortcake acro. I can't decide! Anywho, better pictures..and of course blues turned all the way down because LEDs be crazy in the camera. Kim is bringing an acro frag she picked up for me and we're going to frag her a piece of my sinularia. Maybe I'll convince her to take some pictures of my tank again. My lobo. The center is actually fluorescent orange it's just hard to capture. It's gotten huge too. Gets regular feedings of pellets several times per week. I find everything is happier eating pellets. My orange flower anemone making a slow comeback. I turned the rock around because I was tired of it hiding. I didn't buy it so it could hide all the time. Sheesh. My green and yellow flower anemone has made a home in the sand. It's attached to the bottom of the tank and seems to like its location. My metallic orange mushroom jumped ship and left this behind. I'm hoping it turns into another mushroom (or a few). And now it's back on the frag rack waiting to attach to something. I have never in my life had so much trouble getting a mushroom to attach to some damn rock. I'll have to find a spare one of these for Kim when she's at my house too. This little yuma needs to GROW! It's pastel blue/lavender with bright yellow on it. Love it. But it's so darn tiny still Sunny D in the front, pink and golds (another polyp already made too, sheesh) and CAA in the back. The yuma from Kim that's dropping babies like there's no tomorrow. Haha, good thing I was planning on bringing my camera! I'll have to find a spare one of these for Kim when she's at my house too. This little yuma needs to GROW! It's pastel blue/lavender with bright yellow on it. Love it. But it's so darn tiny still Is that the only one on the frag? There was a medium size one as well as a tiny baby. The yuma from Kim that's dropping babies like there's no tomorrow. Mwahahaha.... yeah, they do reproduce like crazy. My big mama one is on the move for the first time since I got it and its leaving babies in its wake. Everything looks great!!!! I need to move my yuma from Kim to the pico where it can attach to some rocks and start popping out the babies too . I think it's the healthiest yuma I've ever owned!!!! Link to comment
Lalani
Oh, here's the little acro frag I'm bringing ya. Its pretty small, but it was a piece that Scott at Cajun Aquatics accidentally broke off when he was fragging my piece. Its growing quickly though! You can see its encrusting the glue and I only glued it a couple weeks ago. http://s695.photobucket.com/user/Lalani7/media/IMG_7830_zps08a96c56.jpg.html'> Link to comment
opaquelace
I don't know what happened to the tiny baby. I haven't seen it since the day after I got it. I was having trouble getting it in a happy spot. I still don't know if it likes where it is. It had shrunk down I think from being irritated by another mushroom that kept overshadowing it so I moved it and I'm waiting for it to improve. I might move it to the frag rack soon if it keeps bring so small. Let it grow some on there. Link to comment

opaquelace
Ok photo dump time, big one too. My scolymia <3 I love this thing. I love the texture of it. My lobo. This thing has doubled in size since we bought it but hasn't split yet. The center is so orange. I can't wait until it makes more heads. Two (technically three) of my flower anemones. My solid white one has withdrawn under the green one. I think the light is pretty bright compared to the power compacts at Petco where we bought it the other day (ew). I love my anemones. My orange flower anemone is making a comeback. A few pages ago I documented how it was attacked by my acan echinatas's mesenterial filaments and left only half of it on the rock. It's about half the size it was before but it's whole again so that makes me happy. The first (and only piece) of my acan garden so far. Eventually I'll probably take Glenn (coral gardens aquaculture) up on his 5 acan frags for $99 shipped. Because who wouldn't? Right? Ricordea/mushroom area. The green rhodactis is insanely green. Also, can you spot my three orange ricordea yuma babies?! Now for the palys and zoanthids. I don't have a bunch of rare ones, I buy what I like even if they're common. This will just be a bunch of pictures in a row. These are my rare palys. My two frags lol. A sunny d and a candy apple awesome from lawnman <3 My euphyllia garden. Next addition will be a yellow hammer. My green sinularia. Kim took home a frag of this. My pink yuma and my other ricordeas. A close up shot of my pagoda cup. My orange pimpled green mushrooms. Kim got one of these too My green toadstool from Kim's last visit to my house. One of my favorite shots from a unique perspective. My firefish. I love this shot too. It's amazing how much detail can be on such a small, delicate fish. My male clownfish. My clowns are speckled right now from getting too frisky with the frogspawn. My large and in charge female clown. She literally likes to bite the hand that feeds her. She's a terror. And the last one. Phew, that was a lot. And that's not even all of them. That Favia is HAWT sauce gurl! Kimberly takes some awesome photos . Thanks! I love it too. It's from Reef Gardener. She sold it as "firecracker favia". It's not quite like the Christmas favia, but the colors really pop and it's growing really fast. Link to comment
opaquelace
Sheesh guess no one wants to see Kim's photos Or comment on them lol. Link to comment
Pinner Reef
Dayum. Kim strikes again. I sooo wish I could think of a photo I want to take then actually take it in under 10 attempts. I'm sure that having such good subject matter certainly helps. I love how this tank dosn't have super spesive fragments yet still looks super vibrant. Link to comment
masterbuilder
Gets better every time I take a peek. Link to comment

It's a budget reef A lot of what we've acquired in the nearly 3 years it's been up has been either given to us, traded or purchased as small frags and allowed to grow. I do have some sunny Ds and some candy apple awesomes from lawnman as well as some pink and golds on my frag rack. Just waiting for them to multiply a bit before I place them. It helps that most of Noah's friends have saltwater tanks lol. Link to comment

opaquelace
Had to check out your tank. Beautiful pictures. I like your scape and corals.....very nice! Thanks! Lalani takes amazing photos, and she's nice enough to come and take photos of mine. Also, got some new additions! Video of the watchman goby and tiger pistol pair. They were out and about the first day but have since retreated to the back of my scape. Every time I look there is a new pile of sand so I think the shrimp is making a very nice burrow. Also got a pom pom crab because they're so cute! Also forgot to add: These two will be here Friday weeeee!! Link to comment

opaquelace
I would have too. If I hear any strange noises I get up to make sure the tanks are ok LOL. Most of the time I sleep like a log though and don't hear a thing . It was funny to listen to him clicking away when I was changing the water yesterday. I haven't seen him since the day we got him but his goby is starting to venture out of their lair more. I have a feeling when I feed the tank Rods Original today she'll come out. I knew exactly where they were too from all the fresh white mounds of sand around the rock. They're toward the back but it's on the side so I can see them come out when I want which is nice. My midnights finally came in too. I say finally like it took a while lol. They were in the box for only 15 hours and appear to be very happy and not stressed from shipping. I've never ordered fish before so I'm very pleased. I'm glad they had a disclaimer on the bags about copper being in the water too because I usually just float and dump. Ended up doing a freshwater rinse before putting them in a basket in the tank. Video: And photos: BEAUTIFUL!!!! Link to comment
opaquelace
Wooohooo...you got them!!!! Yep! They get along with everything and are always front and center. They swim up to the top of the tank too whenever someone approaches thinking they're gonna get fed. I'm hoping maybe they will want to host something eventually although I don't know what. My mochas had started living in my frogspawn. They live in a friend's tank now. I miss them, but I'm sure I'll like these midnight ones too. They're such little babies right now lol. I had to turn down my mp10 for a while so they could get used to the strong current. They kept trying to catch it like clownfish sometimes do and it kept pushing them back wayyyy too fast. Also adding these pictures here...of my acro and my wellso. Also finally bit the bullet and bought a test kit lol. I feel like I should be ashamed that this is my first kit in 7 years. It's just the kit for alk, mag and calcium but when the water was tested yesterday at Aqua Hut the alk was low and the calcium was high (520). I'm going to retest the alk after the lights have been on a few hours, retest the calcium too and then do a water change and start dosing the alk. Link to comment
