I took your latest FTS and played around in a free program called Paint.net, which is not meant for photo manipulation, and was able to get something that looks pretty good. zzOpaqFTS.jpg What is the big fuzzy thing in front? Oh wow, Pavona. Mine has a long way to go yet. Believe it or not that was a $50 colony at a local store. It's beautiful in person the way it moves and the colors. It's a very pretty teal blue when it's not fluffed all the way but when it is it takes on a duncan coral appearance. Kind of like a pink/tan. I love it. It deserves to be the centerpiece on the rocks right now. Link to comment

opaquelace Posted June 24, 2014 Author Share Posted June 24, 2014 Just a few picture updates. I have Kim coming over Saturday to take some real pictures. I love that my clowns live in my hammer coral now. I've waited 7 years to have a pair of clownfish host something, anything, and finally I have it. My first clownfish hosted a tupperware for frags in my 12 gallon but that so doesn't count. Almost time to encrust on the rocks woo! Top of the scape. It will hopefully be covered with SPS colonies like metrokats tank soon enough. I need to kill off all the blue cloves though. Tank plague right now. My new favia Acans from Coral Gardens coloring up like crazy! Oh hellooo New palys And my slowly healing wellso. Link to comment

You have so many how am I supposed to choose?! I'm sad right now because my rainbows have been closed for over a week. I put them in the shade because I noticed some nuisance algae growing on them, and dipped them in some Coral Rx but they're finicky little palys. Link to comment

Kim got lots of great pictures of my rainbow wellso and took a shot of my healing wellso from Glenn. My scolymia vitiensis Favias: My firecracker favia from ReefGardener is encrusting along the bottom of the frag plug and will soon make it onto the rocks. The new favia from Aqua Hut in Baton Rouge is beyond awesome. Acans and candy canes: Zoanthids/Palys These are new from Aqua Hut: My sunny D finally had a baby. Hopefully more are to come soon! SPS: All but one frag were free from Lalani. The bonsai has been growing like crazy, and the other frag from Kim has been coloring up and encrusting and hopefully it starts to grow faster soon. Bonsai: The I have no idea what it is tiny SPS frag from Kim lol. It's super bright and awesome though! My ORA Marshall Islands Fuzzy Yellow. Some of the tissue receded, but it's not working its way up the colony as far as I can tell. If I notice anymore tissue loss I'll probably frag it. I kept having issues with it falling and I don't think it liked being messed with as much as I had to to get it to stay in place. Softies: They look a little miffed at the moment. I had a rhodactis that got to the size of a saucer plate and it was stinking them. I had to move it and they're slowly realizing again that they can stretch out without getting bitch slapped. My sinularia. I love this stuff. It's been fragged several times too. Invertebrates! Pretty awesome feather duster imo. So dark. M My cleaner shrimp, aka Mr. Magoo. The LFS I get all my fish from had a couple of Kole's that had been there for a few weeks and eating like pigs, so I picked up one of them. I had looked at these pics just before making the trip. My yellow was a bit put out, but he can't resist his reflection in the mirror I use to distract him. Link to comment
opaquelace Posted July 2, 2014 Author Share Posted July 2, 2014 She was shy at first but after a few days and the addition of a seaweed clip she came out of her cave. Now she's out most of the time. If she sees the jar of fish food she swims around the tank like she's dancing until she's at the top of the tank to catch all the flakes. She likes flakes, pellets, frozen and seaweed. She's recently taken to stealing food from my wellsos if they're not fast enough so I have to make sure to feed her first lol. Link to comment
