i think i lost my idaho grape it was way too slimed up when i received it...

the other thing that could use a little more PE is my tricolor valida. hopefully they acclimate to my tank conditions soon enough

 

btw, there are now two maxijets with hydorflos in the display. waiting on the tunze nano-stream to make its debut

Hi Ez, that's a big list of SPS! How many SPS do you think the Aquapod could hold? Because I will soon have about 12 frags in my and I am already worried about space.

 

And what do you use to attach the SPS to the rocks?

nono, i didn't get all of them in one shot!

but my most recent shipment has been a pretty big one, and i think my Idaho Grape did not make it

as sps keepers all know, they lose color during shipping, so none of the sps frags are worth taking pics of as of yet. i will as soon as they color up, its just not worth showing ugly pieces. Most of them are also really small frags as they were so damn pricey.

Strategic, I super glue the frags on a piece of LR, then i use epoxy putty to attach it where I want to in the tank.

And some of your SPS must be quite close together?

EZ have you figured out the skimmer yet so that it won't overflow. I'm still trying to decide if I should get a skimmer for my 10 gallon. I think I need to figure out an ATO first though. Can't wait to see a pick of the SPS when they color up.

how do i decide...that's a toughie,,,the ones i paid most for gets the most light access basically lol

yeah, its pretty difficult judging what needs to go where and how. good thing about the epoxy putty is that its not that strong, and you can yank it off the rock in one piece if need be to move to a new location. as of now, my montis are getting top spot (superman, sunset, and pokerstar) with one acropora. i decided my clams can chill on the bottom directly under the light.

i would say no with a CSS for your 10 gallon, i'd go for a remora C, probably the nano version. even with an ATO, i think the water level won't be stable enough with only 10 gallons for the CSS as its extremely sensitive.

New Set Up

 

 

 

I changed the tubing to a longer one so the remora will suck in raw water from the display. I'm not sure it the increased lenght of the tube will affect the skimming performance, its a 1/2 inch tube. I'll check tomorrow.
