Without a stand..! I was shocked first when I opened the door. 😲

It turned out to be a lot of cardboard, air and freshwater stuff that I can't use, but fortunately a colleague can. 😅

Is it the cheapest option to get german made stuff in the Netherlands?

I ordered the tank from a Dutch seller, but apparently it's delivered directly from Germany, where the big producers are. Sometimes you even get things delivered from Spain!

The Dennerle is very minimalistic right now, although it doesn't even look thát bad.

I know it's very minimal right now, but I actually rather like the look of this rockscape! 😅 It would make an excellent habitat for a few gorgonians...

Are you planning on keeping the Dennerle running, or is everything getting transferred into the new tank?

Hopefully I can make something like this with the new tank and the rocks that I (sometime) get.

I find the quite unique dimensions of the Sera Scapers tank very interesting.

A rare side, both pygmy wrasses in the open water in front of the camera. 🙂 They show themselves a lot, but aren't very fond of the camera.

Lucky shot! I was taking some pictures with my mobile, when suddenly the small Pygmy came around the corner. 🤗

Why do you want to change your rock so badly? That rock looks lovely and the coral

placement looks really natural!

Maybe it does, but I have something different in mind. Not all kind of different arranged corals, but a mix of rock, macro-algae and a few pieces of natural looking corals. Something like this:

No current, no heating and almost no lightning for more than three weeks, but this polyp survives and even opens up! 😳😋

Last day of this minimalistic setup, new live rock tomorrow (hopefully). I also need a cleanup-crew (snails, sea-urchin, sea-hare) for the hair-algae. 😆

I'm sure if you ask @Rehype (I'm pretty sure that is the Rehype who's tank that was) can help some with something of that nature.

It was a very simple and amazing tank.

Today was the day to get new live rock and luckily, I have macro-algae now! 😛 Even made a little clip of the live rock.

Agree, it's about 26.5 lbs. In the end it will come in the 21 gallon tank. When I still find it too much, I leave a piece out.

Seems like Tormenteros Reef Cozumel and Turtle Schooner Grand Cayman are real Bommie-paradises! 😄

I checked out some of those dive videos, and it does seem really beautiful out there. What really strikes me is the huge diversity of sponges on Caribbean reefs. They're clearly a very important component of the natural reef ecosystem out there. Makes me wonder if I should try my hand at keeping a few alive in my biotope tank... 🤔

Also, awesome rock! I can't imagine how hard it was for you to get your hands on some real Caribbean rock, but it looks great. Hopefully it will be well worth it. 👍

Seems like the snail mostly have 'eye' for the green hair-algae on the glass. 👍

Did a 30% WC yesterday and pulled out all the rocks. Amazing just to see how much 'dirt' develops in a few days.

I'm also amazed by the amount of green, red and purple (macro-)algae that's already sprouting. Can't wait to see how that develops! 😃
