Making the tank look better isn't much of a concern for me during this stage. Without sand makes it much easier to clean out the dirt and dead material from the rock and that's the most important for me now. 😊 4 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
A fresh new scape for this weekend! 😅 3 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
It's different already and better I think. Tomorrow new picture. 1 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
I couldn't get a good picture of the scape, so for now only one of the growth on the rock. 😃 The scape is superglued, so that's positive for the stability. I also added a small frag of Cluveria, just to see how that goes. Edit: This one is good enough to share. 4 Quote Link to comment

DNR88
What do I do with a small green nudibranch-ish critter? It's pretty cute, but is it also reefsafe? Quote Link to comment
DNR88
Seems to be a tiny Oxynoe/Caulerpa sea slug. 😊Here's a better picture. 2 2 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
I got all the mushrooms and zoas I wanted and more. 😀 I've adjusted the flow so that the mushrooms also feel comfortable. Now it's time to let everything stabilize and grow in. 6 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
Apparently I'm doing something right this time, because the mushrooms and zoas seem to be doing their best to show themselves at their best and biggest. 😁 Stability and previous experience now seem to be the key to success. 5 Quote Link to comment
ReefTaco
I love me some mushrooms 🍄 Nice tank you have there. That green hairy mushroom can get quite large. I had one in my old tank that was the size of a quarter when I got it and grew out to a 6in disc, so give that baby some room 1 Quote Link to comment

I'll keep an eye on them, for now they seem to like their spot. Only the Superman mushrooms need to adjust to their new spot. 1 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
I 're-dipped' most of the frags today, had the idea that not all zoas looked equally good. I was also about to add a first fish (six-line wrasse) today, but managed to control myself. 🙃 First do a few (large) WC's in the next weeks and let it run in even more. Update: Hopefully I'll get a green/purple Montipora Undata and Yoda Zoanthus tomorrow. 1 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
Ordered an Acanstrea Lordhowensis fragpack as well. 😁 1 3 Quote Link to comment

DNR88
It's starting to look like something. The algae looks worse in the picture than it really is. Maybe a first fish tomorrow. 4 Quote Link to comment
Reefkid88
Grwat job on the Acan's. They look very happy. Keep flow steady, keep them FULL and they will grow like crazy for you. 3 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
No (first) fish yet, couldn't get a six-line wrasse. Maybe I wait a little longer and get some sand in first. So I can get a wrasse which need a sandbed. Got a neon-green Caulastrea in the mean time. 😁 1 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
I'm still amazed at how well the tank is doing and how happy the corals seem to be. I don't even miss the fact that there's no fish, invertebrates and sand in it yet. 😄 I'll just continue with my weekly waterchange and try to enjoy it as much as possible. 4 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
I still don't understand why I haven't had Acans before. They're beautiful and doing very well. The Zoa's also seem to be having a good time. New polyps are added all the time. Especially with the Yoda and Pink Diamonds I'm very happy about that. 5 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
An extra advantage of live rock is that it comes with its own cleaning crew. Very small Needle Whelks and Stomatella snails graze the stones. If all goes well I'll also get Rasta and Blueberry zoa's today. 😁 1 Quote Link to comment

Now with the latest additions I feel like the tank is 'full'. I also think it would be good to stop adding extra things now, so that it remains manageable and stable the way it is now and that I don't run the risk of introducing additional pests. Now I can slowly start thinking about which fish I want to add. Ultimately I want to have a maximum of two in the tank. 2 Quote Link to comment
