DNR88
I had this idea for a natural background, something I haven't seen much before. So I had a poster of the sea(bed) made in A2 format and I am very happy with the result. This probably looks even better when I have a sand bottom in it too. 6 Quote Link to comment

DNR88
I went to a boy for scrambled eggs zoas, but these Armor of God zoas are my new favorites. 😀 3 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
For now things are going very well. But how is it possible that when things go well, there is a restlessness to adjust things? Edit; The scape survived another day. 😅 3 1 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
Nice to see those closely packed zoas. 4 Quote Link to comment

kimdawg
I really like it. You have a clean look with the bare bottom and a lot of variety of corals. 1 Quote Link to comment

The variety has now gotten even bigger with a new gorgonian I added this afternoon. 🙂 I do want to add sand eventually, but for now I still like this bare bottom. Especially in terms of easy maintenance and keeping it clean. Quote Link to comment
DNR88
The aquarium and the corals are looking better and better luckily. 🙂 And this was before today's water change. 2 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
Nice to see that the Rasta Zoas are finally taking off. My experience is that they can be quite tricky with their preferences. 3 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
Apart from some hair algae and bryopsis, it goes quite well. And that after being away for a weekend. 🙂 3 3 Quote Link to comment
billygoat
Wow, I haven’t looked at this thread for awhile and I am amazed to see how well it is doing! What a beautiful aquarium! Don’t you dare touch that aquascape! 😂 1 2 Quote Link to comment

Your (old) tank is one of the inspirations to see where it can lead of you give it time. 1 Quote Link to comment

DNR88
It's going too far to say that the aquarium is on 'auto-pilot', but it's still going well. 🙂 3 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
It's been a few weeks since I posted anything, but the aquarium is doing well, except for some hair algae in some places. At a certain point it becomes more difficult to see whether the individual corals are still growing, but the whole looks nice. I've now found out that I no longer need a sandy bottom really and that one wrasse is enough. 🙂The maintenance routine has now been reduced to a water change of about 3 gallons every one and a half or two weeks. 1 Quote Link to comment
DevilDuck
Looks fantastic! Everything is so well laid out and the background brings it all together. Probably one of the best bare bottom nano's I've seen! Quote Link to comment

DNR88
Added some phosphate-remover and I've reduced the duration of the light by 2 hours, to get rid of the hair algae hopefully. Quote Link to comment
DNR88
My 'phosphate remover-box' in the left corner and it seems to work pretty well! 😁 2 Quote Link to comment
DNR88
I once read here that if you no longer want to make the effort to keep the glass clean, then you should stop with the tank. And that moment unfortunately came this week and today I decided to stop with the aquarium, quite resolutely. It's been fun and beautiful to watch the aquarium develop over the past half year, but now I get energy from other things. The last pictures from today. Maybe until next time. 🙂 1 Quote Link to comment
All American Reefs
I just read thru this entire thread tonight and oh my what a wild ride! You are a true artist that has great vision. It’s too bad you’ve decided to give it up as I believe you’d make one hell of a nice 5-10 year reef tank. One piece of advice STOP TOUCHING IT! 3 Quote Link to comment
