I had to re-adjust my scaping because my bullseye rhodactis was pinned under the main central ledge rock. I managed to move the Mushroom Mountain, but then I misplaced my green blasto frag and I had to move the shriveled bullseye mushroom to my nano for healing. 😕

 

I don't really like moving the rocks around in this tank. Mostly because I'm afraid I might accidently squish a fish or shrimp. 😕

I returned Freckles the tang to the LFS today. I actually had him in a tiny tank in a paper bag ---> big mistake 😓 and when I entered the store, the bottom of the bag gave out and the tank fell out. 

 

The lid came off and the fish landed (by dumb luck) on the remains of some paper towels that I used to line the insides of the paper bag, on the floor. Immediately everyone asked if I was okay, (all the store workers & the manager are my friends) but I managed to scoop Freckles up and quickly pass him to one of my worker-friends, who quickly dropped the fish into one of the large DTs used to sell big fish (eg. tangs, butterflies, angels, foxfaces etc.). 

 

The fish was fine and actively grazing on the algae at the bottom of the tank. I think the paper towels really cushioned its fall. I made a huge mess at the store though. 😓

 

Apologized a lot of times and offered to clean up the large puddle of SW by the entrance, but my worker-friend mopped it up & said it was fine. It was an accident - I've transported fish many times this way, but this is the first time the bag gave out. I think it was too thin to support the weight of a picotank. And it looked like the bottom was also wet - probably some water was sloshed around in it while I was driving. 😕

 

Thank goodness my store is so nice though. They weren't upset or angry at me at all. Phew. 

 

Anyway, I got a chance to take better pics of the shrooms I'm supposed to pick up in the next two weeks:

 

 

 

I brought my clip-on yellow filter lens for a change, but as you can see, my LFS runs very, very heavy blues, so you can't see the proper colors of the shrooms in the 2nd pic - it's supposed to be a lava lamp, a bullseye rhodactis, a green rhodactis & a blue discosoma. 😊

 

The shroom in the first pic is huge and is actually on a large piece of LR with several babies. I'm planning on placing it on my sandbed, towards the left, back central corner of the tank. 

 

I saw several interesting fish at the store - including a beautiful Lamarck's angel. Turned my sights to the urchins in stock, but my whole budget of the day went to collecting more zoas & palys for my nano (I couldn't resist! So many new choices! 😭 ) so I skipped out on getting one for now. 

 

Tank overall is doing okay at home. Fish seem happier with the tang completely gone. Thanos was out in the open too:

My secondary LFS just posted their fish stock list online and they have TSB in stock. I don't know if I should... 😞

 

I miss my previous TSB very badly. I accidently killed him when I pulled out all the rocks & he was trapped in one of them (without my knowledge) and outside of the water for 5 - 10 mins. It was horrible. 😢

 

After many months, I'm still not quite over it. But now I finally have a small chance to *maybe pick up another TSB. I just don't know if it's the right thing to do.

 

Thanos, my Starry Blenny, will most likely ignore it as he ignored Miko. Their size difference is a lot, and Thanos is quite gentle with all my fish. 

 

Sigh. I'll sleep over it. Am running low on finances too, but I *might be able to squeeze out enough money to get just one TSB, provided it doesn't exceed RM 35. So tired though. Heading off to bed soon.

I shifted my bicolor blenny, Dusky, to this tank today because he was nipping at the SPS polyps in my nano repeatedly. He's in his element in this tank:

I think the continuous spawning with Illaron is wearing her down rather quickly. 😕

 

I made sure she had plenty to eat today, because she does need extra food to continuously lay eggs. But I am starting to worry that she might breed herself to exhaustion. Her belly was okay, and she is still chunky, but I could have sworn she looked thicker yesterday. 

 

Also, Poseidon has now become rather territorial over food during the feeding sessions. I actually have to lure him away from the main feeding hotspot of the tank to give Bella & Illaron (scooter pair) a chance to eat their fill. He has no issues with Orion (ruby) though, and ignores him completely. 

 

I think the lack of barriers-in-sight has also become an issue. Before this, I had plenty of corals so fish don't exactly see in each other in their line of sight as frequently as they do now. 

 

I'm thinking of getting another LPS colony to occupy the sandbed some time this month - something that could spread out widely like my previous bubble coral or elegance/frogspawn. 🤔

I've had him for over 2 years. He's not very big - around 3" across, I *think. I've seen much larger tuxedos at the store.
