Its down to lighting more than anything in my experience. So what kind of lighting do they like? I thought low. Quote Link to comment
A.m.P
Ime, (mostly from what I've read honestly) Florida Ricordea actually kind of enjoy medium lighting, mines in around 100 PAR if I had to guess, the yumas apparently prefer less light. 1 Quote Link to comment
Pjanssen
Now back to your regularly scheduled reef...(Sorry for hijacking your thread Tigahboy) 3 Quote Link to comment

They should color up even more soon. I have the same ric, it’s under high light and flow. The blue is gorgeous, it will do a good job representing the sea. 1 st pic 4/19 2nd pic today 3 Quote Link to comment

Tigahboy
Got myself some more coral as a Father's Day gift to myself -- the gift that keeps on giving. 4 1 2 Quote Link to comment
Tigahboy
Here are the rics from yesterday. All opened up. Clove polyps still closed up tho. -_-. Maybe I should've passed on those bc they didn't look so hot at the LFS to begin with. 8 1 Quote Link to comment

Tigahboy
Today's Father's Day coral haul. I think I may have gone overboard with the blue rics. Especially after seeing how big the ones I already got have become. Guess the "ocean/waves" component of this pico is just gonna be bigger than I had planned. 2 9 Quote Link to comment
A.m.P
Is that an orange setosa? Quote Link to comment
748S911
Sweet additions!! There can never be enough rics. The sea scape is gonna be epic with so many blue rics. 2 Quote Link to comment

Greenish tips, blueish base and red polyps. I'll post a photo once it opens up. 13 minutes ago, 748S911 said: Sweet additions!! There can never be enough rics. Haha. 2 Quote Link to comment

Tigahboy
Here are the new kids on the block (with the exception of the digi which is still puckered up). Pico sized dendro frag (one of my favorites). Tiny pink yuma. The LFS guy was trying to tell me it's called "Deadpool version 2.0 something something...", but I'm not buying it. It's a pink yuma. I was expecting this to cost me $$$ as soon as he started referring to it by a made-up name, but fortunately it was not too pricey. Blue ricordea. Bought 4, but got a freebie ric, so 5 for the price of 4. Lol. 7 1 Quote Link to comment

Wingy
My cloves can be cranky sometimes. Any little change and they close right up. 1 Quote Link to comment

My other pink and green cloves are open all the time (while my GSP is the moody one). Quote Link to comment
Tigahboy
And here's the digi that I added today. Will probably take it off the plug and glue onto a rock later. 6 4 Quote Link to comment
