I thought saw something about a super secret surprise!  Hooray! I also bought a frag rack that I'm going try something weird with involving the macros...  Hope it pans out!

Macros went in yesterday.  Before I did that I did a big 10g WC.  Still struggling with my nitrates.  Cleaned out the sand bed too.  Macros aren't in their final places.  Should be getting my rubble today to mount them on.  (Thanks again @Lula_Mae!). Have another idea for the frag rack and think this will help me get some height that I've been looking for.  Start the photo dump!

Oooooh, pretty!!!

You know Macros like nitrates, right?

They like to gobble 'em up.

Awesome!  What macros did you end up going with?

I was hoping it would be like magic and all my problems would disappear over night! ?

Haha if you can get some close ups might be easier to tell.  The big bushy one might be dragon's breath or flame algae or something like that.

Nice!!

I see Botryocladia, Graciliara Hayi (big bush in front), and Red Graciliara on left I think.

I thought I might have seen Dragons Tongue yesterday, but not sure.

Can't see enough detail to tell what Macro on right is.

You got a nice selection!!

Ok, from top to bottom, here is what you got:

Red Graciliara, http://www.live-plants.com/gracilaria.htm

Graciliara Hayi, http://www.live-plants.com/redbush.htm

Botryocladia, http://www.live-plants.com/redgrape.htm

Bryothamnion, http://www.live-plants.com/bryothamnion.htm

Dragons Tongue, a variation on this, I think: http://marineplantbook.com/marinebookhalyfloresia.htm

Thanks Weetie!  I wasn't expecting FIVE different species in the sampler.  Thought three would be probable.  I'm hoping I can move the first one I pictured up on the frag rack to fill in the blank space.  It's the "bushiest" of everything I received.  Don't want to burn it up with my light though...

Still battling this ugliness!! Having to clean the glass every 20 minutes is not fun!  Plus it makes the water cloudy...  Really need to figure this out.  I'm running Chemi-pure blue and purigen in my AC70 with the filter media from inTank.  Corals are still opening up fully and fish are still healthy and eating well. (Feeding every other day).  My GHA problem seems to be retreating and is now only on one rock and shrinking.  Thoughts?  Still need to test today and check my nitrates.

Is it on the glass or in the water?

May be some kind of bacterial thing that will run it's course.

It's all on the glass.  I feel like it's a viscous cycle. I clean the glass and the water is cloudy. If I leave the glass the water is crystal clear....It also only covers the glass where the light touches. It follows weird patterns with the light.

We have progress!!!  Testing showed I'm finally low on nitrates!  Scrubbed off the last of the GHA. ?? Moved a couple things around.  Still having to clean the glass off, but it looks like it's not coming back as fast...Time for pics!!

I win.....the undesirables have lost their battle with my macros!  GSP was just rolled over by a snail....it got pissed.  Everything is still testing well.  Going to try and find a few more cheap frags this weekend. Maybe Zoa's, torch...not sure yet.  I want to find a fun shrimp too, and my third fish!
