The newest photo? If so it is just on the cycle tail end of the midday cycle. It looks amazing.

I was able to snap a couple for fun. The colors that are coming out are flat out insane.

Now I'm hungry.

What settings are you using? I am having trouble getting my acans to color up. Yours are truly amazing!

Awesome tank! Is that a massive sinularia? It's really cool looking!

(oops - apparently I'm WAAAAAY behind)

Vaca looks like it was everything it needed to be.

Is that a Cyphastrea left of the Lepto? I'm sure you know already, but DAMN those things grow fast. They out compete neighbors for space insanely quickly.

Oh I know. It will be a battle but there is a ton of vertical room between the other corals.

Go back a couple pages. It has all the info you need. :)

Thanks!

It has been a crazy few weeks. I was in Vermont with the glass blower who did the Statue of Liberty flame design and numerous other projects. We are designing some really wild aquarium "things". I also took some R&R and went to Mexico with my wife. We were in Cozumel and I spent 80% of my days in the water.

Reef Snorkleing : I feel good going ~ 20-30' before my ears really hurt. We saw turtles, nurse sharks, lion fish, wrasses, amazing angle fish, rays, barracuda and so much more!

What camera did you use for underwater pics??? I was at Cozumel a few years ago. The water was NOT that clear when I was there...hahaha. Snorkeling was bad too. Your pics make me want to go back.

GoPro 3 Black Version - Sony A7 for above water.

I have NEVER seen water this clear. I was on the west side of the island and south. It really was unreal.

Thanks! I finally got to see one in person at MACNA. And brought it home :). I'll be setting it up in the next few weeks!

Awesome! Really plan out the rock work as it can be hard with the small clearance. I had to scramble when swapping over the tank ( early morning whim! ).

I figure it's going to be way more difficult with a transfer...so I will totally take your advice on this. I'm a bit nervous actually . But looking forward to it as well.

They are silly. I want to find some killer rainbows but have not found anything that made me pull the trigger.

Damn dude those acans.....

Thanks! More to come. :D

Great video and pics - they're all incredible!

At RAPNY this past year WWC had incredible Acans. They were their high end signiture ones though and all very pricey. My experience with rainbows typically results in them becoming fat which means they turn orange. I've got some babies popping now that my mixed reef is doing well and they are more rainbow colored so I hope that stays.

I have found other colors like blue and green to be great for Acans and the color does not shift as they grow.

Dave, as with everything you seem to do you really push the bar!! Love the pics.

Can I ask you, how are you able to post pictures here using Flickr?

Thanks. Upload the photos and then when you click the actual photos there is a small arrow that will appear on the bottom right. Click this and then the IMG code will appear. Copy and paste!

Dave,

Ever try using this for Flikr?

http://bbcode.icemaster.tw:7070/flickr/selectSets.do

It lets you select multiple images at a time (select your album from the drop down, the Chinese writing one is the main album) and paste all at once. That way it does not take you to the Flikr website and rather opens a popup on the screen when you click the image. You can chose how large the popup image is as well.

Anxiously waiting for more pics of the tank ;). Are you using the filter socks? How often do you clean them?

I should have time tomorrow or Sunday. I just picked up a couple fish to add more life. I do not use the socks. My theory is to keep it super simple. I blow the back chambers every other day and hope that the skimmer pulls it out.

Cool! I'm going to try out the socks and see how it goes. Seems like they'll be a pita to clean but maybe not. Looking forward to some pics :).

I picked up a tailspot blenny and a captive bred mated pair of Bangaii Cardinals last week. My wife said I needed more life in the tank. The additions have done just that!

Nice additions! Did you get the rest of your corals placed on the rockwork?

Negative. Honey do list, new IM10 set up in office and NanoBox. It will happen this week. :D
