teenyreef
that sucks! i wasn't able to get this brand because they are low in stock. but i got a similar product, just different brand, frozen EZ peez or something like that. Hmmm...I wonder what it is? Oh man, frustrating! What brand of frozen cyclopeeze? I have a few packs sitting in my freezer from my calendar winnings . Those two montis look fabulous, BTW! Lucky!!! They had the real stuff from Argent that comes in the twin pack with Cycloppeze and PE Mysis together. I got two of them since they should keep forever...as long as I don't leave them out When I went back and checked their web site today, it said the product doesn't exist, so I guess I got some of the last of them I'm really happy with the montis! I need to move one of them to the IM 10 tank since that's where I've always intended for it to grow out. But after I realized how delicate they are I'm afraid to touch them until they get a little bigger. The good news is they seem to be pretty much indestructible Link to comment
cindyp
it is arctic EZ pods. my ycg likes it a lot! Link to comment

KoonRoss
Hi. I love your tank! I think the green monti looks like a spongeodes. Mine has that same superbright green flesh and the polyps on mine vary from brown to tan to pink. When I frag it, the frags encrust the plugs just like your picture, but when they really get going they plate and branch. Mine plates around the perimeter of the tank and sends up skinny branches where it's directly under the lights. I don't know how to tell for sure, but that's what it looks like to me. Link to comment

I think the cyclopeeze is red? Or is it white? Anyways...my fish loved that cyclopeeze the best. How there is a difference, I don't know..but obviously they can tell a difference . They are ok with the one I'm giving them now though. Link to comment

You could be right! The color certainly is similar. I'll have to wait and see how it grows out now that it's started encrusting. I've used that one! I think the cyclopeeze is red? Or is it white? The red stuff is what I had from Argent. The fish love it and so do the corals. I can even feed my SPS corals with it. All except the Idaho Grape monti, his polyps are too small. Still waiting for a shipment confirmation from Drs F&S. I got an order confirmation but nothing about shipping. I'm a little nervous that they didn't actually have any in stock. Link to comment
teenyreef
It's been a good news/bad news week since getting back from vacation last week. I haven't seen Flash, the rusty goby, since I left for vacation. He was doing fine and eating when I left so I don't know what happened. But he hasn't come out at all even when I'm feeding, so I think he's gone for good My babyback blue eyed zoas have continued to melt for no apparent reason, as well as some of the blue ones that I had recently moved. I suspect it's been a combination of low alk and the higher level of light when I had the old PAR30 bulb in use while I got the Nanobox fan fixed. One of the BBBE zoas opened up today, though, so there's hope. And, just like the last time I had zoa problems, my duncans did great and have popped out two new heads, one in front and one in back. Here's the front one, peeking out shyly: New dendro head by TeenyReef, on Flickr Also, the stomatella snail made an appearance tonight. I really like this guy because he literally appeared out of nowhere one night. I'd never seen him when he was small, and I hadn't added anything new in months, so I know he grew up all on his own in this tank Stomatella by TeenyReef, on Flickr Link to comment

cindyp
i've never been attracted to duncans, but yours are gorgeous. and so sorry about the missing fishie, teeny. that is always a bummer. i hope the tank becomes normalized and happy again! Link to comment

gena
I've found rusty gobies to not be very long-lived in captivity. I think there is something we aren't providing for them that they need to thrive. I have no idea what that is though. Sorry for the loss! Stomatellas are cool! I love that yours grew up in your tank . I got some HHs from Lawnman and they are multiplying . Link to comment
teenyreef
The red stuff is what I had from Argent. The fish love it and so do the corals. I can even feed my SPS corals with it. All except the Idaho Grape monti, his polyps are too small. Still waiting for a shipment confirmation from Drs F&S. I got an order confirmation but nothing about shipping. I'm a little nervous that they didn't actually have any in stock. Drs F&S called this morning to tell me that the twin packs of PE Mysis and Cyclopeeze have been discontinued and they had to cancel my order. I knew it was too good to be true Guess I need to figure out an alternative to cyclopeeze. Something frozen and plankton sized. I already use Reef Roids so I've got the really fine stuff covered. And PE Mysis takes care of the guys with big mouths. I just need something that the SPS corals with bigger polyps like the yellow scroll coral can eat. Anybody have ideas? Link to comment

Fishstiks
They discontinued the twin packs? Thats a bummer. My LFS has a couple of the twin packs in stock, maybe I should go grab em while I can, lol. I love your stomatella. I had a ton of them when I first started, but my wrasse took care of that. Now I am lucky if I see one, at which point I put it in the fuge. :-) Link to comment
teenyreef
New Green Banded Goby (aka Rock Star II) is in the house and getting warmed up! https://flic.kr/p/qsQwZP'>https://flic.kr/p/qsQwZP'>Green Banded Goby by https://www.flickr.com/people/15628054@N06/'>TeenyReef, on Flickr I also got a second pom pom crab. The idea was to get one with pom poms and he might share with the one I already have. Just two problems: 1. I haven't seen my old pom pom crab in at least two weeks. He may be kaput 2. The new guy is missing one claw and one leg, so he's a little disabled until he regrows his missing parts But at least he has a pom pom https://flic.kr/p/qKg75a'>https://flic.kr/p/qKg75a'>Disabled Pom Pom Crab by https://www.flickr.com/people/15628054@N06/'>TeenyReef, on Flickr I also got some more sexy shrimp to keep my one lonely guy company. I got a total of five, so that I can have three in this tank and three in the IM10. teenyreef
Zeo Coral Vitalizer? I'm looking more for some kind of small frozen zoaplankton stuff. You know, like cyclopeeze They discontinued the twin packs? Thats a bummer. My LFS has a couple of the twin packs in stock, maybe I should go grab em while I can, lol. I love your stomatella. I had a ton of them when I first started, but my wrasse took care of that. Now I am lucky if I see one, at which point I put it in the fuge. :-) Yeah, I'd pick it up if you can. Advertise on Ebay, I bet you could make some real money I only have the one stomatella. I hope he (she?) reproduces, he almost seems like a lucky charm in the tank Link to comment
