gena
OH NO. i just noticed one of my flower nems is MIA. the one that was "cuddled" up to the larger. how can this even happen? quick glance around my 8g and i can't see it at all. unless it's hiding behind rock work. wah! i have an appointment so can't look more right now. ps. i didn't think they could move THAT fast. but i didn't look this morning as i had a skype session with a HS. wah! They move surprisingly fast . Mine didn't move for months, now a few of them are on the move. I've moved 2 to my big tank sump because I like them and don't want to get rid of them but don't want them in the little tank anymore. For me, once they start moving, they never settle in a desirable location LOL. Link to comment
kimberbee
Ha! Mine has been hiding all weekend, came home and... Out in the open again!! Silly nem... Link to comment

Silly nem... thank you, ladies, for commiseration! my ultra nem (orange skirt) moved around the entire rock and has since tucked itself into the sheltered corner and not moved! it's been at least 8 weeks? the big one is newer and hasn't moved. the smaller one "cuddling" beside it (who was first there) had crawled into the rock crevice onto the other side, and then back again to where orginally was tonight. ha! BUT her skirt is over the big ones, versus other way around. i think the big nem was crowding her a bit, and she got peeved. either that or she got sick of prancing sexies on her. Link to comment
frankdr
I used to try to figure out why mine move around.. They will spend weeks in the same spot then appear on the complete other side in an afternoon.. If they're happy - so am I... unless they plant themselves on top of my zoas.. Link to comment

Which is usually what happens for me LOL. I had one moving yesterday and today I can't find it. I'm afraid of where it will turn up . I saw CGA has fat head dendros advertised in sponsor specials . I put in a request for one!!!!! I'm hopefully joining the club! This will be my first ever . Link to comment

cindyp
there's nothing like looking into your tank and seeing your dendro and saying WTH are you DOING? that's what happened this afternoon. haha! ladies and gents, my dendro is officially trying to EAT THE WORLD! the photo bombing goby and blenny are NOT impressed. (the blenny is full on looking at me. SO CUTE!) i sent this second foto to owner of ASD where i bought it from and he was like: holy cow! I saw CGA has fat head dendros advertised in sponsor specials . I put in a request for one!!!!! I'm hopefully joining the club! This will be my first ever . David david, i think that the flower nems move LESS than other nems. but they do scoot about a bit, depending. and my dendro was on sale for $25. i think i saw it for lower too, a few weeks after, but i got to hand pick mine early! it has been super easy to take care of! and i'm a noob. other than a scare when it closed up for 24 hours, it's been doing great! and er, i'm pretty sure it's grown. but it's so mercurial it's hard to tell. ha! today, i think it was measuring at least 1.5 inches across its jelly face. JINX, i just messaged you. man, that's a real bummer. mine opened right up from start. it might be due to the travel through mail? though it's been a while. i've got it on sandbed not sheltered at all (i did move it to under my giant mushroom when it was closed for 24 hours and i got scared) and not super heavy flow. it eats like a piggy and i'm sure it's gotten bigger. i'd definitely feed it often as long as its tentacles are out. and even when not out, i'll sometimes just drop something into its middle. do you have pix of yours up? i check but i think i've missed it.
