frankdr
All the frags liked where I tried them at, so I glued everything down, and even added some more Idaho Grape and another misc zoa I found laying in the bottom of the 28G I added a Montipora Setosa frag in here at the top of the rocks. It was languishing a bit in the 28G, so I'll give it a try here. It fell behind some rocks and got tore up a bit getting it out. We'll see how it makes out On a down note, my Royal Gramma hasn't come out for feeding while I was gone this week. Last Monday he had quite a few Ich spots, which makes me think he's either really bad off or done for.. I check for ammonia and there wasn't any, so that might be good.. And more pics of the additions . . I also pulled out the last of the Kenya Tree. It was sent over to the frag tank. It was growing out of control and dropping babies everywhere. I bet I'll be finding new growth for months.. Link to comment
Sk8n Reefer
That top down shot is nice! Sorry about you gramma. Nice to have two tanks so you can add frags from one Link to comment
frankdr
Here's this week's FTS. and the 'top of hill' shot The Setosa is looking much better after just a week, but I saw my Damsel picking at it.. Even though it's late and most of the polyps are 'sleeping' this guy is growing well. Soon the superglue should be covered up Link to comment
frankdr
Here's what I pulled out after a week.. Probably explains the almost zero Nitrate levels. This little guy is looking good And this tiny one But some bad news.. No way this is good. He's been hiding in the back Link to comment
natalia_la_loca
Your tank is looking great not sure what's going on with your nem though! Hopefully some nem people will have some suggestions. Link to comment
frankdr
Sorry to report that the RFA didn't make it. He was barely attached to the rock and was all strung out and it's mouth was swollen bigger than its face. I took him out before he died and made a mess.. On a more positive note, everything else is flourishing.. Some pictures.. This guy is liking his new home. Not sure where the RG went to, but last I saw, he had a far bit of Ick and hasn't been seen in two weeks.. This mushroom is getting some nice PE More healthy softies Even my 'starter SPS's' are happy This guy is getting so 'fuzzy'. It started out almost dead when i got it - but has come back nicely. two pics.. . And my hermit playing in the macros Link to comment
frankdr
After weeks on the road, the tanks needed some TLC. Scraped the glass, cleaned the sand and did a 25% water change and took some pics of course.. This one had covered over the (too much) superglue and the edges are starting to cup upwards. Can't wait to see what shape it's going to be. and this Idaho Grape is growing a bit. Not to fast, but growing.. All the macros are growing like crazy, and the Damsel has been well behaved - not digging like the last one did.. and a note to myself about the 1% light adjustment on the AI Nano T3 11:00 17-20-20 -> 18-21-21 T4 12:00 36-36-39 -> 37-37-40 T5 15:30 18-18-20 -> 19-19-21 Link to comment
dillct
What you're calling a mushroom is actually a devil's hand coral. By the looks of it, he's doing pretty good. It will eventually flop over on it's side and you'll get multiple "fingers" growing upwards. Link to comment

Thanks for the ID - I picked up two of them from a guy who traded them for help getting his Apex configured. That's what he called them, but good to know the real name. I noticed it shrinks down to almost nothing at night and then swells up several times it's size in the daytime. The tank just turned one year old.. Decent milestone.. Link to comment

frankdr
Some new additions - from my 28G And this little guy was cruising around One of the LFS' in town has live brine shrimp, so I picked up some for my two tanks. Watching the fish chase down their food is about the most entertaining thing I can think of.. Some of them got caught in various corals as well. The shrimp where in there head first, wiggling their tails while they're getting munched on. Kinda cruel, but that's nature i guess... Link to comment
