Only about a quarter done. Still need to get all the wood up, distress it, and stain. Here is an old headboard I made back at our old place Progress: Link to comment
specore
Looks good. Are you covering the entire wall? Like the dog as well, bostons are great. Have a female that is crazy smart...and slightly OCD. Link to comment

Have a female that is crazy smart...and slightly OCD. Thanks. Yes, the entire-ish wall will be covered. I'm not going to move the fish tank, so I will make sure the wood goes fully to the other side behind the glass, but won't worry about behind the stand. She's actually half French bull dog and half Boston. She turns 3 at the end of the month and hasn't lost any energy. http://s3.photobucket.com/user/ObeyHK/media/290E1C65-8BA0-4A7F-847F-A7EFD6687808_zpsyobrq3pr.jpg.html'> http://s3.photobucket.com/user/ObeyHK/media/F1F3A0A0-0062-4651-94A8-1EE698AE5E0B_zps0i9ytmnh.jpg.html'> Link to comment

AMAYEU
If you start in San Francisco, you can go clockwise or counter to vist LFS with Neptunes as the southern most spot. Clockwise and traveling east (b/c you have to pay toll going west on the bridges) hit up Diablo Corals in Concord then Aquatic Collections in Hayward. Continue south to Baja Reef aka Atlantis or ATL after all the pretty sps back in the day. Drive further south to Neptunes in San Jose. You will then start traveling north back to San Francisco and hit up AquaExotic in Belmont and TopNotchCorals in Burlingame. My local small mom&pop shop called Lucky Oceans in SF City. brad908
Awesome, thanks! Disappointed in myself, only got about 60% complete. Couldn't decide if the stain was too dark, so waiting for her to come home tomorrow. http://s3.photobucket.com/user/ObeyHK/media/1EADB916-653E-4888-AB68-A0B61E00AC08_zpspmgq3juj.jpg.html'> Link to comment

Here is an old headboard I made back at our old place Progress: big fan of texture on walls, been wanting one of these on the wall my TV is on, guess I should add it to my list of a billion things I want to get done but cant seem to find any time to do them. The first one looks great if thats an indication of how awesome 2 will look. As for the dark stain, if you like it a selling point would be the lights accent it very well! Link to comment

hey
This is only a rental. Luckily I've only put 6 holes into the actual walls haha. We greatly miss the exposed brick we had in the condo we owned in DC It is scary how much I like the same wall features you keep posting... my dream home which will never happen having kids and all would be a floor of an old funky brick building with damn near no separating walls and exposed brick walls on all 4 sides. They actually have a few of them in the city I live in but I am stuck lookin in the burbs, I will be damned if I ever live in a house with no character though heh. Link to comment
DaveFason
Exposed brick is the best. I hope to have that at our new place. Link to comment
brad908
Exposed brick is the best. I hope to have that at our new place. We used the Brick It system. Real bricks from old buildings and they cut off the top 1/2" layer. Then you use their metal grid system and mortar. http://brickit.com/products/brick-product-details/new-york-used Link to comment
JayPagi
Looks awesome, are you using just pine boards? What technique are you using to distress the wood? I love the brick work too, we almost did that in our kitchen. We were going to paint it white for a crisp look but went with a subway tile instead, obviously we just ended up doing the back splash. The brick would have been the entire wall. Link to comment

But when I made the headboard, I just beat them with a hammer, threw bags of screws, etc. to give it that old beat up look. Link to comment
