ninjamyst
Disaster already =(. I filled the tank last night and everything is great. Took forever for me to make that much water. Wife is gonna kill me when we get the water bill. This morning I heard this dripping sound from the sump. I drained out enough water from the tank so I can completely drain the overflow box. Unscrewed the return pipe and the o-ring fell out, broken. The system has some kind of locking mechanism to prevent counter-rotation so I can't completely unscrew the return pipe and put in a new o-ring....what do i do??????? Link to comment
FlowerMama
Hm, sounds like you'd have to contact the tank manufacturer & see what they do if/when it happens. As still under warranty maybe they have some ideas. Link to comment

If so pick up some plumbers/teflon tape. Make sure to apply it the correct way so it wont just come off when tightening back down. Then hit Red Sea up Monday! Link to comment
ninjamyst
i have neglected this tank long enough. will be cleaning it tomorrow and taking a few pics. wont be pretty pics but it will motivate me to get this tank back to its old self before the leak / move. Link to comment
FlowerMama
You'll feel better after you do it for sure, but I understand, it's hard to get motivated if it doesn't look good already. Link to comment
vlangel
Leaking plumbing is the worst! It always demands attention like RIGHT NOW! Link to comment
ninjamyst
GSP and algae have overtaken the zoa rock and killed many zoas. It is time to reclaim the land of zoa. H202 and razor time. Link to comment
RollaJase
Xenia does the same I'm afraid. A good dose of kalk paste does the trick . Link to comment

myarmolich
Pack some of that GSP up and send it to me Great progress! Link to comment
teenyreef
Does peroxide do anything against GSP in your experience? I've put full strength peroxide on GSP frags for up to a minute with no ill effects to get rid of gha. I guess you're leaving it on longer? Edit: never mind. I figured it out. Peroxide for the algae, razor blade for the gsp Link to comment
ninjamyst
I also put h2o2 after I razor the gsp to get rid of organics. Link to comment
ninjamyst
I miss top down shots sooo much. After scrubbing rock with H202 and 2 bags of Chemipure Blue Nano, the water is CRYSTAL clear. Wow, I wish I can get the water in my 75 gallons this clear. I am loving the clean sandbed without frag plugs everywhere. I plan to keep it clean and just fill up the rocks with zoas. I never notice how off center the mount for the nanobox duo is till now. Kinda driving me nuts. Maxi-mini garden still doing great Zoa survivors Lost a few rics but these are coloring back up Tank is sitting on a low cabinet so makes it even easier to take top down pics Green cynastrea did not like being out of water for 15 mins...sigh. teenyreef
Nice! But thanks a lot for pointing out the duo mount is uneven, I'll never be able to enjoy another FTS of this tank again Link to comment

FlowerMama
Less is more, I know what you mean, I also like the look of the clean look w/ no frags sitting around. I want to get back to some of that for my tanks too. Link to comment
