Good light, with great bulbs you could grow sps

Awesome! He also has a Reef Octopus skimmer. I will most likely not buy the sump since there is no room for a fuge. I will also probably get 2 Wp40s.

Okay, so I know this thread is more about stocking, but I can't figure out how to change the thread title...

Could a Cherub Angel (Centropyge argi) or a Yellow Candy Hogfish (Bodianus bimaculatus) work?

What about a Lamarck's Angel (Genicanthus lamarck) or a Bellus Angel (Genicanthus bellus)? I have read that they are very peaceful and reef safe, and my LFS carries lots of Lamarck's regularly.

You have to use the full editor to change it.

Thanks. I will do that later,

What do you think about the Lamarcks or Bellus instead of a Tang? I heard tangs nip at clam mantles.

I don't have any experience with these fish. I believe they are more active than Tangs and the Lamaracks is a fair amount bigger than a bellus at max size. I personally would opt for a female bellus as they stay a bit smaller and have more striking attention getter colors for a centerpiece fish. They do however, cost a fair amount more.

I'm sure 1.0reef will let you know when he wakes up :D

So maybe a Bellus would be the best option. Maybe a small Lamarcks and then see how it works out.

Oi, late night.

IMO Genicanthus watanabei or G. bellus would work.

Okay. So no Lamarcks? Also, is there a small tang that doesn't pick at clam mantles?

Lamarcks get a bit too big.

Tangs usually don't pick at clams.

Also, the angel and tang will take up a lot of stocking space.

Hmmm.... So one or the other?

What fish should I add first? I was thinking the 2 Bangaiis.

The angels are much more likely to eat a clam than a tang

Not a Genicanthus, their diet is mostly plankton in the the wild.

Good. I am definitely get one from Genicanthus, but am not sure between Bellus and Wantanabei.

Which fish should I add first out of my stock list?

Yellowhead Jawfish OR Randall's Shrimp Goby/ Candy Cane Pistol

Pair Bangaii Cardinals

Pair Neon Gobies

Fairy or Flasher Wrasse, maybe Exquisite or Orange-back

Maybe a Yellow, Tomini, or Kole Tang

Maybe a Genicanthus Angel

Can you re post the list, just so I don't mess up.

Great. Will another fish work in that setup? Preferably a Cherub Angel (Centropyge argi) a Flame Angel (Centropyge loriculus) or a reef safe hogfish like the Yellow Candy Hogfish (Bodianus bimaculatus)?

Hmmm, maybe..... If you add everyone slowly in the correct order and keep up with maintenance you should be fine.

Link to comment

Why do you want to add another angelfish since I thought the whole reason you wanted a Genicanthus is because they don't pick at clams/coral?
