ArabTanker Posted June 22, 2013 Author Share Posted June 22, 2013 Small update: Well. Everything is looking much better. I wish I wasn't so ignorant and got a skimmer before I put livestock in there. But its a learning experience nonetheless. Today I went to the lfs AGAIN to get a Yasha Goby. This is getting very annoying. I drive 30 mins there when they tell me they'll have one for me. Then I drive 30 mins back empty handed because they actually don't have one. Yesterday I called and they had two of them - So I asked to put on on hold for me so I could pick it up today. All I found was a hold slip on the tank. No goby. I cant say its the lfs's fault per say. But still. Very annoying. This was the 5th or 6th time I went over there this month with a Yahsa Goby 'guaranteed' to be waiting for me. /rant On the bright side. The skimmer stopped sending out micro bubbles for the most part. And its almost starting to collect only a thick paste. Woo. Link to comment

I've run into that situation before where I put something on hold for someone (or even myself) and the next thing I know the person is there to pick it up and someone else has sold it, even with a big "so-and-so on hold" written on the tank. Mind if I ask the cost of the skimmer? I'm in need of a "real" skimmer (this tiny thing isn't cutting it anymore) but I'm on a pretty extreme budget for it. Link to comment

So I know how it feels to be yelled at by a customer because of something you couldn't avoid - and its not fun. Plus. The girl I talked to on the phone took it personally when she found out I couldn't find the fish. She got really mad and started saying "Thats really ####ed up" and stuff. Normally I be turned off from customer service like that - but she was hot. Looked up that skimmer on ebay. I smell what you're steppin in. I called and told them I broke the aerator and they sent me one the next day free of charge. Edit: Pods are taking over! Im scared. How do you know if they are reef safe pods? ArabTanker Posted July 30, 2013 Author Share Posted July 30, 2013 Freaking great. After a month of hiding and not seeing it - my Yasha Goby finally comes out and hangs in the open. Next thing I know its stuck in the mp10... Really? Luckily (and sadly) I watched it happen so I turned the mp10 off right after it happened. He seems alright. His tail is a little bent but he's still swimming around the rockwork. It looks like hes still picking off pods. Sigh. I turned the pump up a notch or two this morning. I guess he wasn't used to it yet. Link to comment
