Very nice adds man! Very jealous. Green dragon is very nice! I need to complete the dragon acros at some point. Where'd you get your new stuff?

You know of any stores that sell either tropic marine pro reef or red sea coral pro? I really need to switch my salt mix (have a crap ton of aquavitro left) since my carbon dosing + high alkalinity at 10+ dkh is causing my corals to have burnt tips.

Close up of mushroom please

Sure thing. I finally found a nice place to leave alone for the next year or so. Check the pics below.

Aww, that sucks!! Well, that clam looks pretty killer and small haha. :)

Ah, glad you pointed out that it's small! I think I found a nice spot for it then if it is. I think they can attach themselves to rocks as well right?

Here's another update guys. I usually hit up one of my LFS once a month, but life's been busy so I didn't get to swing by last month since they're a bit further away. I woke up and had a sudden urge/gut feeling I should swing by so I did.

They had the craziest discosoma, I wanted it really bad but he said no, it's for growout. I get to have the next one they bring in for sure though, so I'm down. No pics, I completely forgot to get one and it will be awhile until I return.

Anyways, onto the goodies. This is them getting prepped for a quick Bayer dip.:

Hoki with green coralites:

Yellow (Tenuis?):

After the dip, into the tank and getting nice and happy.

I adore this Hoki, I love the green coralites and that nice shade of blue it gets. It's really hard to get the colors right. Unfortunately, I mounted it to show the shaded side of the piece to be on the surface, so enjoy the brown sides. LOL.

Picture to show the coloration and green coralites:

Yellow Tenuis (Idk, I just wanted it sideways vs standing):

I like the yellow polyps it has:

I also got a last minute red polyp cap. The mother was a nice light green with really red polyps. Too bad mine doesn't look that great yet. I had no idea where to place it in the tank, so for now it's glued onto the backside of the wall.

Random Pictures:

Aussie SPS, still one of my fav acros in the tank for its great growth:

Green Dragon:

Red Planet (If you've seen pictures of it before... you would have thought it was dead (Let's just say it used to be brown planet). Glad that I decided to keep trying with it, as it's definitely coming back):

G Hornets:

Red Devil Shroom:

EDIT: I just noticed, the pictures don't look very much like the actual colors on the two new SPS pieces. A real shame. :(

And scaping for SPS is really difficult! It took me about 1/2 hour to try and find places for them to grow and fit along with securing them down with BSI.

10+! So high! I'm also going to be switching salts as well. AquaVitro is too much trouble to make. Going to try MircobeLift since Robert recommends it. I can't really recall what stores well those two salts you're looking for though, sorry. When I bought red sea coral pro, I bought it from DFS.

Those two goodies are from Neppy Tunes! Seeing the Sarmentosa so fluffy really makes me want to try a milli again. Waiting to find those pink with blue tips and green/blue polyps millies. I found one, but it was a colony. Don't know what to do with a whole colony, lol!

Wow. everything looks great! That yellow tenius is pretty NICE... :D

BTW, clams will foot themselves in the general area you put them in.

I can't even get a good picture of it, lol! I'm hoping it retains the yellow. But you never know with all these maricultured pieces coming in.

Thanks for the clam confirmation, I've got a sweet place for it!

lolol The link doesn't work.

Lol! Of course it doesn't, check out what the link says. I don't want to publicly give out my address.

So many nice additions! Hope those nice SPS pieces do well (and everything else, too).

Thanks, I hope so as well. But as an update, the saramentosa just randomly melted, like the skin just poof, peeled right off. I have no idea why since the PE was crazy and everything is doing well, it could be the new SPS I put near it and a chemical warfare ensued. Any thoughts?

lolol Yeah of course!! But what's the point of the link then? :)

Oh, just to show that something is on its way. I'm so excited!

Whoa, that's terrible! That was a really nice piece, too.

It's definitely possible. I have seen it twice between my Acros and Montis, but no reason it couldn't happen between two different Acro species. It happens quick, too. Is there any part that you can frag and salvage?

$9.99! That's basically the cost of the box, so fortunate.

Mmm, this is it now...

LOL.

Buddy, over at RC or R2R (can't keep up) they're saying you have candy apple blue zoas, do you have a picture?

Candy Apple Blues were just the name I found for some zoas that are more known as Panama Blues. At the time they didn't have a name and while googling for them I came across someone naming them as candy apple blue and the name sort of fit, other than not being like candy apple reds etc.

LOL I never knew SCAF even existed till now and there right in my back yard! If they keep bringing in sweet clams like that I'm definitely gonna get one through hem when I'm ready though. Oh and I got me some pieces in that flash sale BWT is having. I wasn't fast enough for that purple plate, but I'm totally happy with the one I ended up with :) Thanks again for letting me know about them.

Purple plate ended up being so dirt cheap! I couldn't get it because I already have an order being shipped today. :(

Edit: WHAT DIDJOO GET!

Ouch, not much left to salvage, is there. Acros can have devastating short range ballistic weapons!

Was it a maricultured piece??? I think maricultured pieces are hit and miss... I've had 2 randomly die on me. A Tenuis and the recently RTN'd highlighter acro.

And now you bust out the stick porn. Love that hoke. Such a shame they grow so slowly. I want an FTS again with all these new additions!

Stick porn, lololol! I wonder what non-hobbyist think that mean. Well then, glad I got a nice mini-colony of the hoki! Gives me something to look at hehe. I'll get working on that FTS... next year. ;)

They sure do!

Naw, was just a frag from a wild piece we had for a few months. It literally went *poof* overnight. It was extremely healthy and PE extended, probably the strongest piece in the tank before it disintegrated. I might pick up another piece, I miss the long PEs already.

No kidding!!!! I was shocked. It's $9.99 shipping (guaranteed one night) for the first coral and $.99 for each additional coral. Can't beat that deal :)

Did you get the clam yet?
