I just recently added two purple Gorgonians to the tank. This video is a mix of shots before and after the addition of the new Gorgonians. Be sure to set your video play back to HD for the best playback.

Thanks for looking and I look forward to any constructive comments you might have.

WOW! The tank has come along way! Haven't taken a look in months. Looks spectacular...as I expected it would. Very natural look to it. Nice work Urbaneks.

Holy crap dude - your tank is absolutely amazing. Your attention to detail is in inspiring. I love the wire management, slide out sump, tool holder.. tons of inspiration all in one thread!

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment. It's appreciated!

Great to hear from you, I need to check in to see what's going on with your tank as well. I don't think I've seen it since it was TOTM. At any rate, thanks for stopping by and making a post.

Because you can't always be at home to look at the tank.

Absolutely incredible. Honestly the exact setup I hope to have some day but with the plumbing running to a basement sump rather than under the stand. Amazing job though, tank looks great,

For me, looking at the video of your reef is like a normal person looking at a hot porno flick

Really beautiful tank. I love how you're maintaing the rich deep colors on your SPS but still keeping the tank pristine. I have been getting the itch to upgrade

Thanks for the view and comment. I would love to be able to plumb down to the basement, just one major issue. No basement. Living in Arizona, basements are few and far between. I would love to have a dedicated fish room but that's just not feasible either. Best of luck as you go to setup your next system.

Thanks again for the view and comment. Color is a difficult thing for me. I have some corals that I think the color is perfect, others that are off color and a few that aren't coloring up. Every little tweak you make brings out the best in some corals but not others. Finding that balance is one of the most difficult things for me.

Here are a few new photos of the tank. Mainly showing a few of the invertebrates in the tank as well as couple other shots. Thanks for looking. I appreciate your feedback.

This tank is unbelievable. For the sake of my sanity and my meager reef keeping skills I'm going start calling this whole thread a fake. That way I can sleep at night!

Seriously though, this thing is unbelievably awesome. I wish this was in my home. It's really, really, really, well done.

Does your halloween urchin like to wear lots of hats like tuxedo urchins?

He does tend to decorate himself with shells, rubble, hermit crabs, etc, etc. He's actually getting a bit to big for my tank now that the corals are growing in. He use to be able to fit in and around my coral but he's pretty limited by his size.

You got me, the tank is a fake! It's actually just dioramas done up in shoe boxes.

Seriously, thank you so much for the view and comment. I do appreciate it!

If I were a fish, this is the tank I would want to live in.

That is about the nicest thing one could say. Thank you!

I actually had a guy contact me once through PM that had a clown fish that he had owned for 9 years. He was moving out of the country and could not take it with him. He wanted to fly it out to me at his expense so that it could live in the tank. I felt bad to say no but it would not have played nice with the others.

This tank seem to amazed me every time I come by and those corals is super healthy with flying colors my friend.

I was wondering can you list your clean up crew members. I just don't understand how do you and everyone can keep their sand bed so clean!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I really appreciate it. As for the CUC, I would not say I have anything special. I'm guessing about 20 hermits, 8 turbo snails, 5 trochus snails, 10 nassarius snails, 2 conches and 2 urchins. With that said, the main member of my CUC is me. I vacuum my sand bed regularly and lightly rake it a couple times a week.

Nothing short of jaw dropping. If you havn't won TOTM in the past I seriously think you deserve it. The sump/organization of power supplies etc. should be enough on it's own.

Also, I love death cab and was jammin' hard to your video.

Thank you for the very, very kind words. I think all of us would love to win TOTM and I'm no exception to that. With that said, there are some pretty incredible tanks out there to compete with, plus, mine isn't very "nano". Perhaps one of these days it will get considered for it. I do think that my tank has a lot to offer people that are planning or setting up a tank.

As for the Death Cab, I heard that song while out to lunch the other day and really liked it. Thanks to Shazam, I identified it and had it downloaded in a matter for minutes. Technology!

im so jealous of your water clarity.....tank looks amazing!

Thank you! Most people are pretty surprised to find out that I don't run any filter socks or sponges. I gravel vac 1/3 of my tank with each water change, I think this really helps to keep the water and gravel looking pristine.

Beautiful tank!

My question is; how do you get such great pictures? Whenever I try to take pictures of my tank they come out terrible. I just assumed digital cameras have a problem with the color spectrum of reef tanks.

Thanks for the view and comments. As far as the photo quality goes, you just need a camera where you can set the white balance manually or be able to change the white balance after the picture has been taken. For me, I shoot the pictures with auto white balance and then use a photo editing software to reset the white balance to 20K which is what my lights are at. Hope this helps.

Wow, I can't believe I haven't posted yet, but I have been lurking far too long! urbaneks, your tank is amazing and has been inspiration for my new built :) I am looking forward to new photos :)

Seattle05 - urbaneks is right, White balance is the main factor which contributes (especially) to taking great reef photos. I have to say as well I have tried multiple image editing software and Photoshop is by far the best for straightforward yet precise editing for RAW files. I used to use Lightroom, but get better results with Photoshop.
