Just so you know, a saltwater aquarium really isn't something to get into if you can't afford it. Going cheap will only cause a lot of problems later and be a big waste of any money you do put in to it.

i'm not going cheap with all the stuff in the tank just if i do buy another tank that might mean missing out on

another fuw supliement or sumthing and realy don't want to have to do that

in a miniet i'll put up some list of what i had in mind to get for the set up

Ok I would just get an API master test kit and the RO/DI unit. Then I would get a bucket of salt, they are about 50$, some are good for reefs some are not, let us know what is available. That is it. You don't need all of that other stuff.

Heres a list of stuff you should get. Read the rules and you can see what applies to your tank.

Tank: Should be 10$ for a ten gallon at walmart.

Filter: Really depends, but up to 80$. You can upgrade that down the road.

Lighting: Price depends on what you want to keep, but I would keep it cheap for this contest and for your budget.

Sand: Super cheap.

Rock: prices vary per pound.

Heater: shouldn't be more than 10$.

Salt: I would get a big bucket 50$.

RO/DI: Up to 150$, look around for cheaper.

Test kit: API master, like 25$?

No dosing. Water changes will suffice.

I would assume best aquascape about halfway in (or a little earlier, depending on how everyone likes their scapes). I would say the beginning but I have completely changed th scape on my 24g 3 times. All new rock and everything lol.

Also, how is the judging going to go down? Do I judge lol? If so be creative haha

nope i'll set up a poll

You have to actually use a ten gallon tank, unless you custom build a tank, then it should be within a half a gallon of 10g. The thing is 10g's are only 10$.

o and one more thing our prize for best aquascape 1st place is

Drum roll please

....

..

A $25 gift certificate to reef cleaners

You're going to be really annoyed by the splashing noise if your tank is that low.
