cruzH20polo
I know, I think I might make a tank divider for the time being to let the clown at it and to keep him away form the frags, and yes it is a frag tank now! Link to comment

latteslave
+1 And now for the elephant in the room... Since your breaking down the cube, what else you gonna do to this one? Oh - and if you need somewhere to "store" some corals, let me know. Link to comment
cruzH20polo
Biopellets! +1 And now for the elephant in the room... Since your breaking down the cube, what else you gonna do to this one? Oh - and if you need somewhere to "store" some corals, let me know. Every LFS that I talk to says to GFO, that bio pellets can be hit and miss ... im still a bit up in the air as for the 20L, my plans are to: get a reactor and either run GFO or biopellets get a RLK lite if funds are available get a new sump Link to comment
driftsaru
LOL @ the nem jail-cell..... hahaha Im running Pellets... its ok TBH i may have to run GFO too.... i think my Phosphates are higher than they should be..My API test kit says its slightly elevated but i dont trust it..im seeing way too many diatoms. cruzH20polo
just picked up: 2 little fish reactor maxi-jet 600... After reading a bunch, I get the feeling that biopellets are hit and miss, and really depend on your skimmer.... and I have a back PCR backpak, granted I just up graded my pump and am pulling more skimmate out than I have before, I just dont think that my skimmer can keep up with the bacteria load created by the biopellets. I am gonna stick with the tried and true GFO, at least while I am away for the summer, by then I might have some money... then who knows what Ill do then Link to comment
cruzH20polo
got the reactor moving with GFO, hopefully I see some results Link to comment
boosted chemist
got the reactor moving with GFO, hopefully I see some results I was going to try pellets but won two lbs of GFO from a local frag swap so.... Link to comment
cruzH20polo
looks like GFO it is for you buddy! 2lbs for free ... that freakin sweet, I almost went biopellets just because of the cost deferential, but I have a buddy that works at a really good LFS, they get theirs in BULK from bulk reef supply and he hooked me up for $5 for more than enough GFO Link to comment
cruzH20polo
So this weekend I moved the 20L to the house that it is going to stay at while I am gone at MIT and Woods Hole, its a bummer not having the tank at my house, but it looks awesome in its new home. I had it set up as a frag tank at my place, be set it up as an Archipelago style display which looks really nice in the 20L Ill take pictures today or tmo. All in all it was the smoothest I have ever transferred a reef tank! Link to comment

cruzH20polo
Sick, any advice? im moing 3 mile in a few weeks, kidna scared tbh. Yea ... plan ahead for everything!!! make a plan, have a back plan, and have a back up to that back up Honestly the best advice I have is make LARGE amount of salt water a week before you start and have a lot of RO/DI on hand. Also relax and take your time its much better to get it right and not lose anything than to rush and panic and make mistakes Link to comment
