flojophoto
Nice tank! Looks like your going with some good equipment. I just got a sundial for my nc24dx Couple questions what are your light cycles? Why did you choose a sundial over the ecocube light? The new vortechs are coming out soon for the nano size. is that what you got? thanks Link to comment
bluenassarius
thanks nano mano congrats on the sundial. i chose this fixture over the ecocube light because it has the 150w option and actinics. what bulb are you running currently? the stock bulb was removed and replaced with the 20k radium. the colors are fantastic. the light cycles are manually turned on right now. i have the mp20 vortech. i didn't know about the mp10 until after i ordered the tank. i'm very pleased with the mp20 and still might order the 10 just to play with it. flojophoto
I want some of those tweesers too! I just picked up some moon lights from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=300307326419 I am running the stock bulb for now. Why did you switch to 20K? For the color or do you not agree with running 10k? Oh I forgot to ask what height did you set your pendant at? Thanks Link to comment

Thanks yeah they're stainless steel. pretty cool so i don't have to dip my hands in the tank. i've been doing it lately and the wife has been getting angry. i went w/ 20k for the color, no other reason. the pendant is hanging about.. 10" from the top of the tank. Osric
lol yeah.. a big annoying green starfish.. he blocks the overflow all the time. i get scared the tank might overflow when he does that. Is the tank level or slightly slanted to the back wall? Then if you block the overflow it should failsafe over the back wall. If the tank is slightly tilted forward ... the water could hit the floor Honestly I'd test it, no sense finding out whether it overflows when you're _not_ home. Osric Link to comment

Osric i'm contemplating giving it away. because it looks massive in this small tank and his venturing to the overflow daily. the vortech is closing to the front of the tank and pushes alot of water to that side of the tank. what kinda fish are you keeping os?
