So a busy week for the photography hobby and for upcoming pics!

Ordered a versatile 24-105 L lens & found a 100mm macro for a steal on POTN

New tripod, and B&W polarized Multi Resistant Coated Kaeseman filters for both lenses should offer some sick, colorful, non glared pics!

All arrives Wednesday and thursday. CANT WAIT!

I am horrible at taking aquarium pics with my Nikon. All the pics come out too blue.

Looking forward to the new pics and updates on how your tank is doing

For starters, are you using a tripod, are you using manual settings or the "macro or portrait" setting from the wheel (which is bad, thats just an expensive point and shoot camera then....

I go for manual, with an F7-11, ISO 100 for best quality, maybe 200.... and Shutter wont matter on the tripod, i love the wireless remote i just got a few weeks ago, super cool. anyways, i get nice sharp pics.

For the macro lens on the way, i picked up a polarized filter to snap on the front... have you ever looked at corals under actinics with polarized sunglasses? same effect kinda, no glare, and colors pop....

the L lens arrives today as well as the tripod but the filter for that lens as well wont come until tomorrow, so tomorrow ill try to get some pics and show the settings.

I am definately using a tripod.

I have shot in manual, Apeture priority and Shutter priority. Adjusting each thing I can on each setting to see what has the best outcome.

I don't have a remote so I use the timmer function to avoid movement from pressing the shutter button.

I have thought about getting a filter for the lens, maybe that'll help me out.

Do you zoom in to take pics or do you leave it zoomed out as much as possible and move the camera closer?

Well, before the L lens (yet to arrive) all these were done with a prime 50mm lens, and the macro is prime as well, one before was 60mm, this one will be 100mm, just arrived lol!

You use LEDs? A polarized filter may help.

Another thing to consider is shutting off the pumps for 5 minutes, let everything settle, then try shooting.

Looks great!

If you're ever fragging anything out let me know both you and Boca! I don't have anything now but soon! Very soon!

i could definently if not atleast frag some, get rid or one or two to make room, when my BTA got so healthy hes over taking the entire corner.... so all the SPS are crunched up together
