northstar1357
I saw it on LiveCam. Too bad it didnt fly over East River. Had my 5D in my office set up pointing East River!! Total failure should have gone to the other side of the building. Edited April 27, 2012 by northstar1357 Quote Link to comment

ScubaEthan
Not only did the space shuttle Enterprise do a fly by right over my head this morning, I was really lucky to find the perfect crowning glory for my tank. Will post more about both later, here is a quick picture even while things were P.O. Sweet x2! Can't wait to see a non pissed off photo lol You should help me find a used Panorama Pro cause you're awesome like that. All blue, blue/magenta, or RGB, unless you advise against any of those. I kind of wish I had just gotten regulars. The RGB is cool but it's not really for growth, just color. Quote Link to comment

Well he did use a big a$$ lens but the thing also flew really low! Sweet x2! Can't wait to see a non pissed off photo lolYou should help me find a used Panorama Pro cause you're awesome like that. All blue, blue/magenta, or RGB, unless you advise against any of those. Thanks! I'm excited about that rock. Like Banshee says below, RGB is for color, it provides that full spectrum that is trendy these days but will not provide growth. The reasoning is simple, the RGB PRO has the same # of bulbs or whatever they are called as a regular PRO, however each bulb is a different spectrum/color. So each has a different PAR value. For growth I would go with a regular PRO. I'll PM you if I find a deal. I'm interested in another one myself. ScubaEthan
Read back several pages. I'm worry to hear about your DOA. That was dumb of Live Aquaria. But I guess they have to deal with dumb people or people who try to get free money. Kat, if that fish comes back to life, you should try walking on water next. Whoa! Your tank has been doing a lot of growing while I haven't been watching. oops. Pretty soon it's going to be maxxxed out! I like the top down fish photos. What are those spikey green things under your zoa garden? They look like those spikey rubber beads kids use to make jewelry. I had a suspicion about the RBG not being going for coral growth but the ecoxotic site didn't really answer the question. Thanks for the advice, guys. So by regular Panorama Pro do you mean all blue or the blue/magenta or either? Thanks for keeping an eye out And banshee, I saw you trying to get that one so I won't fight you for it lol Edited April 27, 2012 by ScubaEthan Quote Link to comment

The body is very black but when it extends its tentacles, they are like an olive black. Yes regular PRO is one of their standard ones (basically any PRO other than the RGB model). The colors depend on the look you want. Edited April 27, 2012 by metrokat Quote Link to comment
banshee
Ethan, I think a 12k/445 + a 445/magenta + one other pro of your choice would be awesome. I'm going to try to cram 4 in my hood (2 x 12k/445, 1 RGB, and 1 other). If I can't fit a 4th pro I'll be adding a stunner strip. The RGB will probably be my moon light if I don't go with a blue stunner for that. Quote Link to comment
metrokat
Sara, don't use a stunner for a moonlight. It is far too bright unless you use a dimmer, will disorient the animals. Quote Link to comment
metrokat
Crab Fight! So here's a new resident that arrived today. His name is Jerry. Notice Jerry has what appears to be a torn crab leg in his pincer. He likely went at a molt that I saw next to him. He starts to get antsy Here is my little guy just chillin' on the BTA Jerry starts the gorilla walk over to my little guy Does like a turnabout or something My poor little guy is taking a snooze and Jerry opens his pincers Smack down! metrokat
After 3 months of goofing off, the spectrapure finally got installed, except the sink leaks and I just had a mini flood where I let the spectrapure run and forgot about it. The RSM is about to be moved 10ft over to another wall in my foyer which needed outlets. The outlets also finally got installed yesterday. So I really have no excuse to delay moving the tank anymore. I'm thinking Monday. Lord help me. Have a 20G rubbermaid container on the ready, 10G of new saltwater has to be made ready in time for the move. Quote Link to comment

mike c
You'll do just fine, Kat. I have faith in you. I just helped a buddy of mine move a 125g starfire tank (40g sump, chiller, reactor, skimmer, plumbing, lights, (2) MP40s, fully controllable by 10 individual rocker switches) system this past weekend....I know...I'm jealous too! Now that was a freakin mission! You know your a reefer when...you have an RODI set up in your bathroom... Edited May 1, 2012 by mike c Quote Link to comment
metrokat
For the last time, it's the fish bathroom. I just fitted some shelves in there too, so now the 2.5 gallon frag tank is a macro fuge and the pod culture has a shelf too. Last to move in is the cat's litter box. He's had a vacation for too long, he goes back to the critter bathroom. Edited May 1, 2012 by metrokat Quote Link to comment

Psychosis
Depends on who's using it I suppose. I'd probably steal a few gallons of RO. Quote Link to comment

I'd probably steal a few gallons of RO. Ha ha. I had the toilet removed and the sink has the spectrapure. This bathroom isn't for human use at all. I can just picture Psy trying to sneak out with some RO. "What's that under your jacket Psy?" "Oh I've got big time gas Kat" as he let's one rip just for emphasis. Quote Link to comment

banshee
I love that you have a critter bathroom! Our laundry room is quickly turning into the fish room, as is our sun porch with pod cultures. Quote Link to comment
Spirofucci
Good luck on the move! Moving it 10 feet is almost the same as moving it 10 miles! Nice mounting job on the sprectrpure! Quote Link to comment
